What would you pay for 9am Saturday-5pm Sunday? It's our regular nanny who often babysits for us on weekends as well. We've always paid her the hourly rate but I'm wondering if we need to do that for overnight...?

When I was housesitting and overnight babysitting, I was paid $75-100 per night.

@mrs. bird: oooh good question!
I would say same rate as long as she is allowed to sleep over. And, as mrsbird said, more if your LO doesn't sleep thru the night yes.

Yes he does...he would be asleep for about 11 of those hours overnight, (plus another 5+ for naps but I'd pay her normally for those daytime hours i think). It would be $384 if we paid hourly. I'm thinking of offering $300 flat...is that reasonable?

Is it a regular thing or a one time event? I think if you offer a flat rate, it would go over better as a one time event. If it could be a regular thing, then I'd stick to hourly.

@looch: just a one-time thing (well I could see it possibly happening again but not regularly). We are going to a wedding overnight.

@ohapostrophe: then for sure I would offer a flat rate. Most of the time she'd be sleeping, which I think is fair.
