My LO is 6 months tomorrow. I feel like I'm the only mom who waited until 6 months to start any solids. I work and am out of the house from 7:15-5:45 Monday through Thursday and honestly put it off more for convenience to our schedule plus I just didn't feel she was ready. She just started sitting unassisted this week and really grabs at our plates, so she's definitely ready now.
I was planning on making food at home, but decided not to add another chore to my endless list anyway and hubs and I bought some jars. They're earths best organic first foods and they just seem so runny and gross! I'm seeing pictures of friends babies gnawing on finger foods and I feel bad I waited so long and she has to eat mush! Maybe she won't even like it, who knows.
I should be excited to start this next phase, but I'm just sad my LO is growing up and I'll be nursing less (my supply is dwindling anyway.) I don't know when I'll have time to feed her and how to introduce foods one at a time. What do I send to daycare? I feel like it will take ages. I know it's more fear of the unknown, but its overwhelming!
