I take tylenol. It usually helps...500mg. I'm prone to get migraines and that usually at least takes the edge off.

I'll take either acetaminophen or ibuprofen. They knew I was breastfeeding and put me on a regimen of both when I was in the hospital after having LO so figured it must be safe enough.

@Sapphiresun: this. I hurt my back and the nurse line said Tylenol and the hospital gave me ibuprofen ...so either one.

I read somewhere that Advil passes through breastmilk even less than Tylenol, so I take Advil (ibuprofen). But for both the amounts that could pass through are way less than an infant dose.

Advil and Tylenol are fine. That's what I left the hospital with after my csection.
