My little nugget is an awesome nurser. Great latch and loves to nurse.
Starting today (1 day PP) I've noticed an intense burning/tightening pain in my abdomen. I think it's my uterus contracting. I felt it last night, but I was getting an IV pain med and Percocet. I'm on oral pain meds now.
I'm guessing this is still uterine pain. How long can I expect this to last? Is it possible I'm not drinking enough water?

Mine lasted about a week and was very painful at times. I've also heard with each pregnancy/delivery, the pain is more intense because the uterus has to work harder to get back in its original shape.

Yes they get worse with each pregnancy. Stay on the Motrin.

Mine lasted at least a week last time. Didn't realize it's worse the second time around, so thanks for starting this thread!

Mine lasted for about a week with K. Interesting to read about it getting worse with each pregnancy! Hope it goes away soon!

I used something called cramp bark to help. It wasn't bad, and really did help. Lasted about a week. Good luck with nursing. I went through many issues while starting BFing, so please wall me if you need any support. I'm happy to send resources!!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: yup. Still there one week pp and really bad some days. While in the hospital some were as painful as mild contractions. Definitely better when I remember to take ibuprofen.
I've heard it lasts quite a while the second time around. 
My nurses said to try and empty my bladder before nursing as it will make it worse.

Yes, it's worse the second time! I heard it gets worse with each subsequent baby! I think it lasted about a week for me.
