Do persimmons make your tongue feel dry and numb? I don't normally eat them, but I bought some to make baby purees today. I licked the spoon (always test the baby food), and it instantly made my tongue feel dry and numb. Another lick and it felt more numb, almost swollen. IDK if it's an allergy, but DH said it did the same thing to him and he's never liked persimmons. Does this happen to you? It was the mushy kind of persimmon, if that makes a difference.

I read on Weelicious that it was the author's LO's favorite first foods. Not sure if it's a normal reaction and if I should give it to LO?
