It won't help, since pumping is not an accurate measure of what your milk production really is.
Consult a lactation consultant to help you out!

Wow, I thought that was just for alcohol. What a crock. Makes me mad that people profit from making mamas feel insecure about their production.

Let me guess, a formula company probably backs funding for this.

@sloaneandpuffy: They do have an alcohol one...but this isn't it.
@T.H.O.U.: Probably...or just companies trying to make money off of breastfeeding, since it's essentially free.

This is the same company that makes "walking wings" to help babies learn to walk. WTF?

@mrsjazz: LOL. um... what's wrong with hands? hahahaha that is hilarious, I've never seen anything like that before!!!

@mrsjazz: Because teaching your child how to walk is FREE and we need to figure out a way to make $$$!!

@mrsjazz: Wow....that's all I have to say about that "hands-free walking" thing.....

@mrsjazz: actually intrested in walking wings. Dh would have a horrible time teaching a kid to walk so this would be a great adaptive device for my husband to be more involved. For all normal healthy adult it seens like pure laziness to me!

ugh. this is terrible. I've been EBF'ing my daughter since the beginning, and anyone who has seen my IG pictures knows she's TOTALLY HEALTHY. yet, last time I pumped, I got 1 oz!!!! This is freakin terrible.
I saw a post on the kellymom facebook page about this, I guess there's a petition going around for target to get it off the shelves. idk what that'll do though.

How would a test even know how much milk a baby needs/wants? It's not like they all drink the same amount...

I signed a petition to remove this from stores: Sign it yourself at: https://www.change.org/petitions/target-remove-milkscreen-breastfeeding-assessment-test-from-store-shelves

@Dandelion: Wow! Do you have a link for where you heard this?
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts

@T.H.O.U.: I see it on Target, but I can only get to the milkscreen link from your link. I'll look for more links.
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
@Dandelion: Yes, I couldn't find the link on the Milk Screen website or that statement you posted. But when I googled "Milk Screen Assessment" lots of buy now links still came up.
I really hope they are removing it and doing the right thing. It seems like they are a company that is trying to do the right thing.

I'm glad they discontinued the product and listened to their customers... but I am still confused... what was the test?!? How do you measure your breastmilk in a different way than... the measurements on the bottles you pump into?!?!? Am I stupid?? WHAT was this product??
watermelon / 14206 posts
@mrs. wagon: I didn't look into it that much, but I guess you measured your milk and enter the info in their website, along with some info about your baby. I think it has you wait for the milk to separate at the "assesses" whether or not it's good enough.
