@pui: Baby aspirin is an anticoagulant. It's been prescribed to me because of my autoimmune issues, to prevent blood clots.

Charting cm (I didn't temp), Baby aspirin, not getting up after bd, cheap opks 3x per day close to O (I was obsessive) & confirm with a digital. I also did acupuncture for about 4 months, but didn't go the month I conceived. I tried pineapple core for a few months with no success. Good luck lady!!

DH and I both had a teaspoon of Royal Jelly every day... Who know if it worked (supposed to improve health of sperm and eggs) but I got a BFP each time we did that for the month.... (One MC and DS!)

Also, hope this isn't creepy, but when I was TTC the "@princessbaby pregnancy position" was all the rage! And, well, it worked for us!

I think you could do a quick search for it under her old username....

@TurtleDoves: That pregnancy position we all talked about? You: stand on floor and lay the top half of your body face down on bed. Your behind will kind of naturally point to the ceiling. He stands on floor behind you, and that is where my description stops. It knocked me up 3x, and I can't remember how many others had the same luck with it, but it was definitely a noteable amount! Someone else told me they used it TTC#2 recently and I had to clear the cobwebs out to remember, but it definitely got me KU with Little Girl and 2 CPs before her!

One thing to watch for with the baby aspirin is that taking it (or any NSAIDs) around ovulation can actually prevent you from releasing the egg.

@knittylady: I took the royal jelly capsules!

The first time around I did a ton of things, and charted, and it took 8 months (that's 6-7 cycles for me). This time, I told my DH we'd make a pledge to BD every single day for my entire cycle, and stick to it. It worked on the first cycle!

@PrincessBaby: our bed is too high for this.. :(. Oh and I'm too short.. And DH is too tall :(. Sometimes the fact he's so much taller than me is an issue.

This is less about how I got pregnant and more about how I stayed pregnant, but here goes...

I am convinced that the reason that this baby was sticky for me was my HSG. I think it helped to clear the clots and old blood out of my uterus and made implantation easier.

Other than that, I have been on baby aspirin and progesterone this pregnancy. I was on progesterone for my last loss, too, so that clearly wasn't a cure-all for me. But I was able to start them the day I got my BFP this time, and the dose was higher. I also went gluten free to reduce the possibility of inflammation which could impact implantation. I think the combination of all of these things, and maybe a good bit of luck, helped me to get this sticky baby.

ETA: We got pregnant with charting using Creighton Model. I charted for two years before TTC and got to know my cycles a bit. Unfortunately, the getting pregnant part was the easiest part for us. We didn't do much special the three times I got pregnant, just used the days with the most fertile CM and waited a bit before I got out of bed.

We're TTC #2 - and all I can really add to this awesome list that other people have said, is that the last time I got a BFP I was taking queen bee pollen during that cycle. I can't remember exactly what it does, but maybe it's the thing that worked, since we had been trying for 3 cycles before that?
Good luck to all of my fellow TTCers

@littlek: I didn't know about it before/when we did it . . . it was just a quickie before we went to work that morning. It wasn't until months later that I read a thread about it here on HB.

When I got KU we used the aforementioned position, preseed, I kept my legs up and bicycled them for 20 mins, charted, confirmed so do OPKs with a digital and took b50 complex because I had a shoe LP. I liked being in control, but I'm hoping next time we can just go about our normal lives and get pregnant.

    Love this thread!

I'm "pulling out all the stops" this month too. For us, that means:
    Charting (temping and CM)
    CB Fertility Monitor
    OPKs (wondfo and digital)
    Acupuncture once a week
    Meditation/relaxation for 5-10 min daily
BD using the SMEP plan (modified just slightly)
Lay quietly 20 min after BD
Royal Jelly 1/2 tsp per day
Red raspberry leaf tea (from Making Babies book's recipe)
    And I purchased a 90-day VIP Membership on fertilityfriend.com

And now I'm going to look into that Yoga for Fertility DVD and varying up our BD position just for fun!

@MsLipGloss: i'm sorry, what?... I'm still hung up on the morning quickie. (*Must find way to accomplish this*)

@stratosphere: Really? Red raspberry tea? I thought this wasn't good until after the 1st trimester? What'd the book say?

@MrsMccarthy: Thank you! I know you're going to TTC in 2014..wouldn't it be nice to be due date month buddies again?

The month we got our positive:

    Eating 80% paleo
    Acupuncture
    Chiropractor
Walking at least 30 mins each day
Went away and got KU on our wedding anniversary (might be more awkward to arrange that one LOL)

  27. stratosphere

    apricot / 329 posts

@TurtleDoves: the book does say to discontinue red raspberry tea or tincture once you become pregnant. It says "Although it has been given to women during pregnancy for centuries, modern research suggests that red raspberry leaf may increase the risk of preterm labor, so if you use it to boost fertility, you should discontinue it once you become pregnant."

@TurtleDoves: @littlek: Haha! It was really nothing more than being fresh out of the shower and heading to the closet to pick out my clothes and crossing paths with hubs by the bed! And it wasn't super early either . . . it was one of those rare mornings where neither of us had to be at work for a meeting or phone conference!

Oh . . . and I probably should add that we had decided to take that month off from TTC . . . irony at its finest!

@Mrs.Someone: I've had several doctors tell me baby aspirin is a "can't hurt might help" but it didn't help any of my 3 chemical pregnancies.
I'm with you that I think all the extras should be just for fun, they probably don't add anything real, but in some cycles it's just fun to have things to focus on.
my goal for this next (medicated) cycle is just to not think about things too much. and not have too much BD, as all the cycles we had 4 days of BD (or more) in a row were BFN for me!

  32. Smurfette

    GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts

@TurtleDoves: @littlek: The month we got pregnant, it was a quickie before work as well. Not the JHo position, but I had a positive OPK Sunday night and DH was on a 8 flight on Monday to be gone the whole week. So we set the alarm for like 5.

  33. Mrs.Someone

    pomelo / 5228 posts

@bhbee: Whether or not aspirin helps depends on what is causing the loss. My losses were most likely caused by my autoimmune issues (meaning my body throws clots to 'reject' it). So the aspirin thins my blood enough to reduce or eliminate those clots. But if that isn't your issue, then it won't help. Has your doctor diagnosed you with anything? After 3 losses, they should definitely be willing to find some answers for you. Let me know if you want any info on all the testing I've been through.

  34. bhbee

    cantaloupe / 6086 posts

@Mrs.Someone: I had one questionable test result around clotting but subsequent tests showed nothing. I'm unexplained after every test under the sun . . . but meds worked for me once with LO so hoping they will again!

  35. Mrs.Someone

    pomelo / 5228 posts

@bhbee: Some how, even with your cute profile pic, I forgot about your LO Have you had a full autoimmune workup? Many people who are 'unexplained' finally get answers that way.

This is our first month TTC but I have PCOS and very irregular periods. I'm pulling out all of these stops (lol):

Clomid (start on the night of the 19th!)
Prenatals (a multi and an omega with DHA gummy)
    Pregnitude twice a day
    Baby aspirin
    Preseed
Mucinex to help with the sticky CM Clomid can cause
Temping, though I work 3 overnights a week so that really throws my temps off badly
A paid subscription to Fertility Friend
    SMEP followed pretty closely

Can you tell I like to prepare and be in control of certain things? Haha

I hope it won't take long to get KU and I hope the Clomid works at the lowest dose! FX!!

In the poas thread I think @Littlebit: posted a video of The Great Sperm Race which you can find on youtube. It is really interesting but they were saying that it helps if the guy is super excited by the sex (apparently you get more sperm that way). So there is something to try and I can't imagine him complaining .

Just popping in to say I have a JHo pp baby too. And last month's chemical was also conceived that way. When we can try again that's my plan.
