Are the parts you have to buy for the hospital-grade Medela pump also compatible with the personal double electrics like PISA, Freestyle, etc? My insurance only gives me a rental pump for six months, which means I also have to buy myself a pump (grrr) and if the accessories are compatible, I think it might sway my decision on what one to get (the other option being a Hygeia -- I've heard good things but it's a lot harder to find parts on the spur of the moment if I were to need them).

@PurplePeony: I believe I used a Medela Harmony or Symphony at the hospital, and I brought home the supplies I used (and they gave me an extra bag of supplies too!) and they were exactly the same as my Medela PISA! I know the Freestyle has different parts.

@mrs. wagon: is correct. The PISA parts are the same as the hospital grade, the Freestyle parts are different.

The Symphony (hospital grade) and the Pump In Style have many of the same parts (there are more parts for the Symphony that you won't need on your PiSA)

I had the symphony and the personal double pump that you get through insurance. The parts were all the same
