Hey guys! So we started Liv on purees as of her 6 month doctor appt per the ped's recommendation. At first, she LOVED it. Couldnt get enough (except banana, that gave her a rash). Then she started being less and less interested, until 3 days after we started, she outright started pushing it away and shaking her head no. Even when she was rejecting the purees, she would eat puffs (yogurt and the rice ones, she is great at chewing,) and small chunks of food, but now is refusing those too.

Personally, I dont think its a big deal. Id rather follow her cues and try again when shes interested than go off the calendatr and force it. I also think that we'll go straight to BLW when we do start again. It seemed like she liked chewing more than the purees.

Ive had people tell me that it seems weird because all babies like solids (right...), but shes only 6 months and 1 week old. I also had someone tell me to give her formula bc it tastes bland, that way she'll want food. Shes been EBF up to this point so Im totally ignoring that advice. If shes not ready, shes not ready.

Also to note - her ped isnt concerned as she is still gaining weight just fine.

Has anyone else encountered this?
