I gave it to her right at 6 months. It took her a week or so to figure out how to suck water out, and a couple of weeks to drink more than 10ml at a time.

@caffeinated: same. 6 months when we started food we offered the zoli. She didn't understand the concept of tipping her head back to drink so most cups just didnt work.

Lo didn't get how to do the straw cup until 15 months. I thought it was the kind we bought so I bought different kinds.... but it was the straw itself. She used a sippy until then.

we started with the sippy (olive likes the tilty), but she was able to drink from a straw cup by herself much better.
charlie drank much better from a straw from the get go, but as he got older her preferred a sippy cup probably because all the kids in daycare use them.

LO likes the straw cup and got the hang of it immediately. We introduced the Zoli at 6 months.

We tried a sippy but she didn't like it so we went to straw cups at 5.5 months. We use the munchkin with the handles. It took her about 2 weeks to really figure it out.

We have both. I prefer the straw cup. I don't think DD really cares since she doesn't really get anything out of it yet.

I never even knew about the straw cups. I've been trying sippies with no luck, and have been helping him use a cup, with lots of mess. Time for me to get a straw cup! Thanks thread.

Straw cup. Mine still hasn't figured out a sippy at 14 months, probably because she never has one.
