did you start with a sippy cup or go straight to straw cups?
we started with a sippy cup at 5.5 months, but now at 7 months ds prefers the straw cup.
he's only had water in it tho so i didn't really see the difference (tooth decay etc) between the two.

I started with a sippy, but DD preferred straw. Will go straight to straw with DS.

We went straight to a straw cup at around 6.5 months.

We started off with a sippy cup but DS never got it, and so I just gave up and started with a straw cup recently....he still hasn't fully gotten it, but he gets it more than the sippy cup. What he really wants is just a plain cup, but that's not without making a mess, so no to that!

We tried to start with a sippy but he didn't catch on so we attempted a straw and he does great with it!

He doesnt really get the sippy either...
