I notice a lot of parents give their kids smoothies for breakfast.
If you do, what does your LO drink it in? I was thinking of sending one to daycare but I feel like most straw cups are too thin.

I give smoothies to her at home in a Take and Toss cup and I just ordered some reusable pouches on Amazon!

We haven't done this yet, but I was planning on putting it in Take and Toss straw cups.

@autumnlove: interesting tx!
What do you put in the smoothie?

@winniebee: so far I've only made spinach, strawberry and banana smoothie with an almond milk or whole milk base.

I was thinking about smoothies too! We don't have a blender though...I wonder if there is a good store bought kind...
I agree with the take and toss cups, LO only drinks water out of them but they have a good straw for smoothies.

@autumnlove: thx!
@Bao: I'm all about store bought. Wondering same thing.

At age 2, LO loves watching me make smoothies. I now let him drink it out of a regular cup (no lid) with a straw, but I watch him pretty carefully. The take and toss straw cups were too narrow to really work for smoothies. I tend to do fruit and kefir and try to toss in some greens if they're handy.

We have the playtex straw cups and they didn't work so great. I didn't attach the value part and just froze the smoothie in the cup. It took a while to melt and she drank it that way.

@winniebee: There are a few brands but not sure how natural they are: Bolthouse, Naked and now yoplait has them in the freezer section...there is another brand that just came out with them too, but again, not sure how good they are.
