DD is 7.5 months old and I feel like we're sort of floundering with solids. We're doing mainly purees, although I'd like to combine that with some BLW but I haven't quite gotten the hang of how. We've tried a variety of fruits and veggies, along with oatmeal cereal, and she likes most of it. But I'm just feeling clueless about how to move forward.

First, when do you start combining foods and worrying less about introducing things one at a time? I'd like to mash up some of our food for her when we have simple stuff, but there are so many things she hasn't tried yet. Also, when did you try meats? Egg yolks?

The other thing I can't figure out is how to get more than one meal into her. We occasionally have time to do either breakfast or dinner but most days, we're rushing to get out the door and she's starting to get tired by the time we get home from work/daycare. She's hard to feed when she's tired, plus she likes to practice crawling in her crib and will spit up whatever she ate if there's not enough time for her to digest. I know we need to start giving her more than just lunch at daycare, but there just doesn't seem to be time...I guess I should ask them to give her a late-afternoon snack or something?

Our pediatrician's office is pretty laid back about feeding and basically just says to increase the number of foods and amount slowly as LO seems to want it, but nothing more specific. And I know that food before one is mostly for fun, but she does seem to want it (she's happy with milk but obviously enjoys her purees...except peas).

Sorry this is so long...I just feel like we're failing at this, especially when I read about what other people's babies who are a similar age are eating. Tips? Advice? Please?
