I've read the reviews and other posts on the Spectra S2, but I wanted to start a new thread. I can get a new pump through my insurance and my Ameda one limped through to the end so this time I'm looking at the Spectra S2 this time.
Anyone have it? Do you like it?
How much do the bottles that come with it hold? (I had problems overfilling the Ameda bottles!)
Do you use it with a hands-free bra or have a suggestion about one?

Following! I am thinking I will also order the Spectra S2 this time. I had the Medela PISA last time but the lactation consultant I spoke to recommended the Spectra S2 for this baby.
I used the Simple Wishes hands free pumping bra last time and will use it this time too.

Anyone use the Spectra? Can you tell me how much the standard bottles hold? I've looked online and can't really tell.

Mine just arrived in the mail today so I can answer some of the questions when I get home from work. I had a Hygeia last time and both are considered hospital grade. The Spectra is supposed to be quieter. I had a simple wishes bra last time but this time I ordered a dairy fairy one. I went to the Yummy Mummy store in Manhattan and both the Hygeia and Spectra were viewed most powerful by the staff. Their parts are more difficult to obtain than the Medelas though.

@brownepiano: I just ordered a Spectra S2 also! I'm hoping it's just as good as it sounds but I do still have my Medela if I need it. We will see!

I got mine in the mail awhile back, but I watched alot of youtube reviews on it from other mothers and they were all great!

@brownepiano: The bottles hold 6oz each or 160ml. I did read that you can attach different bottles like the MAM ones to increase the size

I have a Spectra and I love it! Comfy and quiet and strong. I paid extra to upgrade to the S1 with a battery and that has been very convenient. I immediately hacked mine to work with Medela parts because I use a Symphony at work. I use this hands free bra and I love it too!

I have the S1 and I love it but I've never used any other pumps. And it's very quiet. I frequently use it with my daughter and husband asleep right next to me. The bottles hold about 6oz.

Agree with previous posters that S2 is awesome . I also hacked mine to work with Medela parts like @JenGirl: . We have a Medela Lactina hospital-grade at work and I still always got more milk out of my Spectra.

Thanks everyone! I can't do a Medela hack because I had an Ameda, and I wasn't impressed. I used Tommee Tippee bottles, but from what I'm reading those won't fit even though they are wide mouthed.

@brownepiano: There is a back flow protector either way so you won't get milk in your tubes if you overflow like you would with a Medela

@sailgrl18: The Ameda was designed the same way. I just never figured out what to do when I filled the bottle but was still having a let down.
