I was induced twice resulting in two vaginal births and no supply issues.

I was induced and ended with a C section. My milk came in right away and my milk supply was ideal. We are actually beginning the weaning process after 2 yrs of breastfeeding this lil guy!

LO1: induction and BFing problems (I always believe it was NICU issues, though. Can't breathe? Can't nurse...)

LO2: induction, again, with zero supply issues. Problems related to tongue tie and a long lasting bleb, though!

I had planned c-sections (no labour, no inductions) and breastfed both.

The first time I did end up with supply issues (I think) but it was more to do with stress from something a resident said about her weight and the fact that nursing positioning was problematic because she was in a Pavlik harness. But we went on to nurse well.

This time my baby's mouth is bigger and we don't have the harness issues. I'm also a lot more confident and pumped from the start to maintain. So far no issues.

Well, my deliveries don't fit neatly into any categories but here's my deal:
Twin induction (38 weeks) with one born vaginally and one born by c-section. Low supply (as determined by weight gain issues and weighted feeds), that I didn't try very hard to correct (because I was exhausted and ok with them being supplemented forever, if needed). But I'm not sure if I REALLY had low supply or just didn't have enough to feed two babies. Like if I'd been nursing one kid would we have been fine? I don't know. I do know that they absolutely needed to be supplemented in order to gain weight, but that they are still going strong at 17 months so my low supply wasn't a death knell for our nursing by any means. There were also extenuating circumstances around their birth that I think had an effect on my supply - I lost a lot of blood which I think meant it took a lot longer for my milk to come in, I was separated from them for 3 hrs before we had a chance to try nursing, and I didn't see an LC for over 24 hrs after birth and we just weren't getting the hang of nursing. Also one of my nipples is flat which is the side that I have much lower supply on. So we had that going against us too.

I was induced at 37 weeks, had a vaginal birth, and then had supply issues starting at 2 months. But, LO is now over 18 months and we still nurse at least 3 times/day and usually more (weaned from formula at 12 months, weaned from bottles of bm and wcm at 17 months), so in the long run our supply struggles didn't get in the way of having a bf'ing relationship. I think my supply issues might have had more to do with using a shield for a long time (flat nipples) and having mastitis at 6 weeks than the induction, since she was gaining weight fine at first.

Induced, vaginal birth with no supply issues.

2 spontaneous vaginal births and no supply issues.

Spontaneous labor that ended with c-section, no supply problems.

Spontaneous labor, vaginal birth ... No interventions. Major breastfeeding failure. Chronic low supply due to genetic issues and physical issues with latch, and my underdeveloped breasts.

My first child: spontaneous labor and emergency c-section, followed by 5 days in the NICU and I had no supply issues... I actually had an over supply.

My second child: planned c-section and was able to nurse within the hour. No supply issues and still going strong at 6.5 months.

I had an induction turned c-section. It did take a long time for my milk to come in - 7 days. During that time we needed to supplement. My supply was fine for about 6-7 months until I had trouble finding time to pump and I got sick and needed decongestants to function. Then I pretty much let myself dry up. I wasn't up for the fight to keep pumping and trying to bring it back. Formula FTW.

1 spontaneous vaginal birth and 1 sorta induced (I think I was basically in early labor when induced) vaginal birth - no supply issues.

I was induced, had vaginal birth, and couldn't do skin to skin right away b/c I was shaking so bad. I never had great supply but she was EBF the first 6 mo so I wouldn't say I had chronic low supply either.

I had a induction and csection for my first with no supply issues...just pain the first month! I had two RCS after that and also never had supply issues.

The poll results are making me wonder if people with chronically low supply are less likely to click on a breastfeeding thread.

2 inductions, 2 vaginal births, no supply issues.

I was induced but I didn't have any cervical ripening drugs or pitocin. I had a catheter placed to mechanically dilate my cervix and that triggered labor without any other interventions.

I had a c-section for problems with LO's heart rate.

I have always had good supply.
