What do you send to school for lunch with your LO? DS is 16 months and I really need better ideas. He's not eating sandwiches lately or if I roll up turkey/cheese he isn't eating that either...doesn't eat much pasta salad. No microwave at daycare either.

bump! I need some new ideas too. LO is 14 months and is getting pickier every day.. she is especially picky with protein sources. she won't eat any meat and minimal beans. she does eat a lot of cheese/yogurt, but I don't want to give her the same thing for every meal if possible.

My LO is 16 months and we pack the same foods every day, luckily she hasn't gotten sick of them yet. I put everything in an "Easy Lunchbox" that has compartments.
- pita or sandwich thin with hummus or cream cheese on it
- deli turkey
- applesauce or pear sauce
- slice of cheese
- and then one cupcake liner full of either fruit (usually just the premade fruit salad from the grocery store or grapes), or a veggie, like canned carrots or peasAt home she barely eats lunch, but at daycare she finishes everything!
You could also ask his teacher if he seems interested in other kid's food, and if so what they are eating. That's how we found our DD loves cottage cheese, she kept trying to steal it from a friend.
