How do you feed your baby (12m & under) tofu?
Yesterday I pureed some raw with a banana and she really liked it!
Looking for some more ways to prep it for her.

No suggestions but thanks for the reminder! My Dr recommended tofu for the iron.

@Peasinapod: oh cool! I'm trying to be very cognizant of giving iron rich foods now bc dd 1 was severely anemic. So, good to know tofu is rich in iron too. I was doing it for protein because I'm not ready to give meats yet.
I just took maybe 1 oz raw and blended it with one banana. I didn't want to add too much in case she didn't like the taste of raw tofu.

We make tofu soups for DD. She is really into Thai rice soup so we usually add some tofu white rice and ground pork to the soup.
If you do not want to give your LO meat yet you can use stock of our choice and when the stock boils add tofu to it and rice (if you want to give her rice). My DD eats it up

@bunnylove08: oh thanks! I always forget I can add silken tofu to soup. DD1 might like that too. I always have homemade stock in the freezer so this is a great option.

We give it to DD once per week or so. It's totally fine. She had always preferred it cooked, but I put silken tofu in smoothies, and she loves it.

@littlejoy: how do you prepare it?
Saw that it's good for Popsicles too! Will have to get silken tofu next time we're at the Asian mart.

I just steamed silken tofu, added a bit of soy sauce and fed it to her. So sad she doesn't like it anymore!

@regberadaisy: I press it (or sometimes just crumble it right into the pan). Cook in olive oil or coconut oil until lightly browned. I'll add a tiny bit of salt, or toss it in some tahini. You can also bake it, but I haven't tried that method.

I can't remember if dd was under 12m but aside from puffs tofu was one of her first foods. She was a little late to switch from puréed foods. We actually found out she liked it by giving her the little cubes out of miso soup one day, and it stuck!
