Looking for support, hope and info related to the above topic, and acid reflux.
LO got her lip and tongue tie clipped yesterday (she's 4 weeks on sunday). She's been fussier and more uncomfortable since she got it done and I'm just a ball of worry.
I know the pediatric dentist said the procedure may or may not improve her acid reflux. So I'm hoping for the best but I'm also struggling with oversupply.
I've been using some tips i read about for the over supply, such as nursing her elevated and doing block feedings but I haven't been keeping up the best or been the most consistent.
Anyone else dealt with these problems all together like this? I'm wondering how much my oversupply may be contributing.
If you did get your LO's lip and tongue tie done, how long did it take to see improvement in the reflux?
but we had a very unusual case (nb this was all under close supervision of a pediatric GI who knew what he was doing to give him such a large dose). I am sure your ped will start you on Zantac and if that doesn't work, some kind of PPI medication like Prilosec or Nexium. That is usually extremely helpful for most reflux babies!
Currently I'm struggling to work on her latch at night. It's so easy to let her shallow latch and go back to bed (especially since it doesn't hurt).
