So I'm exclusively pumping and lately my milk has been alarmingly blue. When it's freshly pumped (and warmed and swirled) it still looks creamy and ivory, but after sitting in the fridge overnight, the bottom of the bottle is seriously a soft aqua blue. Pretty much the color of the top bar here on Hellobee!! There's still a thick layer of cream on top, but only about 1/2 inch thick. I looked up why milk is blue and it's because I'm exclusively pumping and waiting longer intervals between pumping sessions, so there's lots and lots of foremilk.
This is fine in terms of nutrition since LMW is plenty chubby, but the past few days she's had seriously explosive poops and seems fussier than usual, so I'm wondering if I should do something about it. I'm pumping 4-5 times a day but sometimes I wait up to 8 hours between sessions (especially overnight). But I could pump more often (gahhh) or maybe try to siphon out some of the foremilk and dump it.
Any thoughts??
