TWW..... POAS for Mid Jan! NEW YEAR'S EVE BABIES ;)

O was confirmed for the 28th, so I'm officially 4DPO and just waiting. Keeping myself occupied with taking down Christmas decorations and packing for vacation. Trying not to symptom spot this month, which is a challenge in and of itself. FF listed my test date as January 14, the same day we leave for our vacation. Hopefully I can wait it out til then (though if its negative, I'll need to be prepared for AF).

    Good luck everyone!

Well we stayed at a friends house last night and I forgot my thermometer! So I'll start up again tomorrow. If I O'd yesterday I'll just be one day off in FF tis month. I figure it's not a big deal. I told my husband and he said, well we'll just keep doing it to be sure

I'll join in! I also O'd on Dec 28th according to FF. I actually find figuring and waiting to O more stressful than the tww. What an emotional roller coaster!

I'm a week ahead of most of you, I expect AF on the 8th. This is our first cycle not preventing. My cycles have been about a week longer these past few time, so it will drive me crazy if AF doesn't show on time. I haven't decided at what point I will test yet, see how long I can last.

Also, I just discovered what appears to be some super light spotting. Trying not to over think it all.

@MaiLife: Also a week earlier here. And my sense of smell has sky-rocketed (though this is the first time in days I haven't smelled the litter pan), tender boobs, nausea, etc... It's hard not to symptom spot when your conditioner almost makes you puke.

@cyneswith: Those signs sound promising! Have you tested yet?

@oliviaoblivia: I did yesterday (would've loved a New Year's Day positive), but I've got about a week before I test. Having some cramps that are on par with and timed right for AF, so I'm not getting my hopes up.

Give me something interesting to keep me preoccupied, PLEASE!! I'm trying so hard not to over analyze every symptom and to stay off google but it's getting harder and harder. I really want to wait until 1/14 to test...That's 16 DPO. I really hope I can make it, I hate wasting money on all these pregnancy tests plus I hate the sad feeling I get after a negative

Well turns out AF decided she would come extra early this cycle. Don't get to POAS for the first time.

@Beyond2: We have the same test date, 1/14 but I'm going to try to hold out til the 15th We can keep each other busy/sane in the meantime GOOD LUCK!!!

@Beyond2: I can totally relate to you. I've been on google a few times already, but I know I should wait until probably 1/12 to test. I've already contemplated running to the dollar tree to get some cheap tests even though I know it's probably WAY too early to test. The waiting game sucks.

@Mrs.VW: @mrskc: Good luck to you guys! It's killing me. The cramping today along with breat pain and The random bloody nose(I've never had one before!) doesn't make it easier to NOT obsess!

  13. oliviaoblivia

    pineapple / 12793 posts

@Beyond2: I had a bloody nose today too! Totally out of the blue.
It doesn't help that my chart is triphasic. DH is convinced I'm KU but I think he's just confident in his sperm.

Waiting to test sucks, but a BFN sucks too. I just strong armed myself out of the pharmacy. No testing until AF is late (due in 4 days.)

this is a total TMI post. just for the record..

so this cycle is turning out to be wacky. my period came a day early, but was only 2 days long and 2-3 spotting - as in, one spot per day. those 2 days spotting were Christmas & Christmas Eve.

I then saw my OBGYN for my annual 3 days later (neg preg test there). she said everything looked good. this was *what should have been* a week before ovulation (O should have been today or tomorrow!)

however, i got a semi-positive OPK last week (I don't even remember the day..) and since, all been negative. I think I ovulated REALLY early this cycle! Luckily, we were BD beforehand anyway..but I'm hoping hoping!

Just wiped and had a spot of pink..either my cycle is ALL OUT OF WACK orrrr..possible implantation? I'm trying not to get excited, since I don't even know when the heck to test! Sigh..I guess I'll just wait it out! Maybe I'll test a week from today?

Has this happened to anyone else (the 1/2 pos opk, then negatives)? Did I just miss the LH surge?

  15. cyneswith

    persimmon / 1202 posts

@sorrycharlie: I just read an article today that OPKs can also read HCG. (They described the hormones as being like identical twins, only HCG has a hat. OPKs look for a twin, HPTs look for the hat.) BUT it also said that OPKs are worthless as pregnancy tests. I wouldn't get excited, but I wouldn't write off the possibility.

How is everyone feeling? I'm trying to keep myself distracted, and I'm so anxious to know already. I've been cramping the last couple of days. It seems too early to be my period. I've heard of implantation cramping. Anyone ever heard of this? or am I reading too much into things?

  17. sorrycharlie

    hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts

@mrskc: could be implantation! what cycle ttc are you on? I'm on my 3rd, and had cramping both 1 and 2 that I thought was implantation but ended up just being cramps definitely could be though!

on a side note..I got another positive OPK an hour ago after stark white ones the past couple days..and a semi-positive the day before that, as posted before. WHAT THE HECK, BOD?

  18. mrskc

    bananas / 9357 posts

@sorrycharlie: This is my first cycle trying since my miscarriage. I'm trying to not get my hopes up, but I can't help it. Time seems to move too slow. I guess only time will tell.

OPKs can be tricky. I tried to use them this cycle and got so tired of seeing negatives that I just gave up. I think they were stressing me out. There are a lot of factors with those. Time of day and the concentration of your urine matter. I've heard stress really affects ovulation. Sometimes your body can gear up to ovulate and then not and then later (days or a week) might actually ovulate. I'm not sure you can get a semi-pos OPK. The line has to be as dark or darker than the test line in order for it to be positive. So maybe now you are going to actually ovulate since you got a positive. Good luck to you!

I'm 3 dpo now and I honestly don't expect a BFP. Lately I've gotten really tired of the charting and the stress of it all. I think it is time to take a break and NTNP for a few months.

  20. oliviaoblivia

    pineapple / 12793 posts

@mrskc: It's so hard to not read into every little thing. The past few days I've been adding "symptoms" to my FF chart all day long. I sneezed - goes on chart. Crazy rash on arm - goes on chart.
I've heard of implantation cramps. Did you have any spotting? Are you still holding out til the 12th?

I'm 13DPO and expecting AF on Saturday. My temps are picture perfect and when I compare my FF chart to others they are 100% preggo - not an ovulatory chart in the bunch. I want so badly to test but am convinced I'm not and would rather wait for AF.

  21. mrskc

    bananas / 9357 posts

@oliviaoblivia: No spotting. Just cramps. I might test on the 10th. I really have no clue when I ovulated. I think sometime last week, so it's hard to know when to expect AF. I'm not gonna lie, I'll probably test sooner since I have no self control and there is a dollar tree across the street from my house. lol I don't feel bad wasting $1 pregnancy tests. Good luck to you! I'm hoping for a happy outcome for you. You have better self control than me. 13 DPO and I probably would have already tested.

  22. oliviaoblivia

    pineapple / 12793 posts

@mrskc: Good luck to you too! Baby dust headed your way!

I may have self control, but I just don't 'feel' pregnant. It's silly, but I feel like I'd know. We only BD'd once during my window because I O'd early and it was too awkward at my grandma's house. Haha. Fingers crossed.

    @mrskc: Going slightly mad.

I had basically every textbook early pregnancy symptom for the last week. My sense of smell is still elevated (despite a cold), but my shaving cream is back to smelling like raspberries instead of Scrubbing Bubbles. Now, though, my body is acting like it did during birth control PMS - I actually had chocolate for lunch. Only difference is that my cramps were one-sided and stabby.

Testing in 4 days, when my prenatals run out, unless AF shows.

i'm on the same page as most of you! trying not to symptom spot, but noticing every little thing... it's silly though because I'm only 6 or 7 DPO, probably too early... last night i went to bed at 9 because I had had a pounding headache since about 5:30. it was awful - slept great though, felt good this morning. in the middle of the night i woke up to pee and my boobs were hurting - not sure if i was psyhcing myself out... I also have had very light cramping since I O'd.

not going to test until 1/13 or 1/14 though! UGH.

    good luck ladies!!!!!!!!!!

So I had a very vivid dream last night that I took three pregnancy tests and all were positive. I also had spotting in my dream and I was worried about miscarriage. When I woke up, I had to test. BFN. There's still time. AF not expected until sometime next week.

  26. Mrs. Oatmeal

I'm due to test next week sometime, probably Monday or Tuesday. I've been having lots of funny twinges and cramping, bloating, ridiculously sore boobs, and nausea every morning around 10:00. How am I supposed to avoid symptom spotting when everything is yelling 'pregnant'?

  27. PastaAndPotato

    apricot / 483 posts

hey ladies, just wanted to join in the conversation - i am 7DPO, and plan on testing next week. i'm trying not to symptom spot, but keep catch myself thinking "hmmmm that could definitely mean i'm pregnant, ohhhh that too." but, we'll see!

  28. oliviaoblivia

    pineapple / 12793 posts

15DPO. High temps. Triphasic chart. (in fact my chart is so picture perfect I'm mad at it because I'm convinced I'm not KU)Sore boobs. Face rash.

But everything else is kind of normal. No nausea. Don't feel pregnant. Not fatigued. Occasional cramps - could be AF, but not as bad as usual.

All of the FF "Find Charts Like Yours" are preggo.

Am I being ridiculous by waiting for AF to not show....she is due today or tomorrow.

    Sincerely,
    Going Bonkers in Toronto

  30. cyneswith

    persimmon / 1202 posts

@oliviaoblivia: No, you are not. I wasted a box of tests testing when I was SURE I was pregnant (I had every early pregnancy symptom), and they didn't convince me otherwise. 13DPO, and I'm pretty sure I'm NOT pregnant now. Waiting to test again until I'm late. Testing earlier is just an emotional rollercoaster that I don't want to ride every month.

@oliviaoblivia: Hoping for good news for you! A lot of people don't feel pregnancy symptoms until week 5 or 6, so I wouldn't worry too much about that. Good luck!

Thanks ladies. It's just this rash - my skin is always perfect and now it's just ugly. Part of me wants to be pregnant so I can blame the rash on hormones. Dr. Google doesn't help calm me down either.
Must stay off internet! (new mantra)

@oliviaoblivia: lol I can totally relate to you with the internet thing. I think Google is making me feel crazy! Must step away from the keyboard. It doesn't help I sit in an office all day in front of a computer. On weekends I'm way more relaxed.

@Olivia: oh my gosh you have the patience of a saint! I'm hoping for good new for you:) I may have missed it, but when are you expecting AF?

I'm so anxious about testing that I'm wanting to live vicariously through you and your VERY promising signs!

@Mrs.VW: I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels like that. Work days feel soooo slow. Sometimes I have a hard time concentrating on work. I try to busy myself as much as possible.

    @cyneswith: bummer!
@MRSLMA: AF was due this morning. no cramping or anything yet. eeeek! fingers crossed. I'm only holding out because I don't want a BFN. I like avoiding the inevitable. I'm going to feel like such a dork when AF gets here.

TWW humor for ya! Lets keep ourselves distracted. How do you ladies do it every month? First time I got pregnant, it happened first month off BC and I was way more relaxed about it. I think now that I've been pregnant, I want it so much more.
