DH and I have been working with our doctors to prepare for IVF for a few months now and I'm getting really impatient. DH was diagnosed with low testosterone and started Clomid to boost his theoretically low sperm count (we don't know how low it is cause he can't ejaculate). We had to scrap that plan when the Clomid made him terribly irritable and interfered with is physical therapy.
The doc originally wanted to wait for the Clomid to work for 3 months, but since we gave up on that I wanted to move the surgery up. DH is scheduled for a testicular sperm extraction on Jan. 9th. I was really disappointed to find out that there is nothing available in the entire month of December because of the doctor's vacation.
I notified my IVF clinic of the date of the surgery, but they won't prep me for a cycle or do anything until after DH's sperm sample is obtained. I'm just so frustrated that everything is taking so long. I even tried to find another provider to do the TESE procedure in the Chicago area, but I didn't have any luck.
I'm so worried that we will go through all this waiting and then there will be another problem. How can I stop driving myself crazy?
