Bras & tanks from Bravado. I never used nipple cream...just used coconut oil instead. I love my nursing cover--the Boobie Trapper & now that she's bigger I sometimes use an A&A swaddling blanket to cover. I also love Lansinoh nursing pads.

@Ash:
Nursing tanks: I haven't tried bravado (I know those are popular) but I love love the h&m nursing tanks for wearing under cardigans http://tablet.hm.com/us/product/13906#article=13906-A (way cheaper than Bravado, too).
Nursing bras: Bravado. I also like the Lamaze sleep bras.
Nipple cream: Earth Mama nipple butter
Other recs: Lansinoh breast pads

@lawbee11: I did not know h&m had nursing tanks!
I have mostly target tanks, and one bravado one from the gap that is my "nicer" one. I want to get a glamour mom one though
My nursing bras are from target- I like the cotton one that has a lace trim and snaps down (instead of pulling over). I like them fine but I'm not super busty.
I used both lansinoh lanolin and earth angel nipple butter.
Others: get one pack of the lansinoh soothies- gel pads for your nips when they reach the peak of soreness- around day ten for me. Keep them in the fridge when you are nursing then put them back on.
And a comfy nursing pillow. I have a Brest friend but that or a boppy.
I have a nursing cover but usually just use an A&A blanket.

@emg86: @autumnlove: I don't know if I can spend $50 on a tank top - eeek!! Talk me into it! I wear camis under everything I wear but I always wear a seamless one because I feel like cotton ones bunch... do these?
@lawbee11: soooo.much.cheaper! I didn't know they had nursing gear. Thanks!
@Foodnerd81: I'll have to look into glamour mom. Good thinkin on the soothies - thanks!!

@Ash: My tatas are huge & I couldn't find any tanks that were supportive enough (it was bad!) so I decided to buy two Bravado ones once my milk supply was established. They made such a difference! It looked like I had lost 10lbs, lol. I also have tanks from Target but I usually just wear them around the house now. My Bravado ones are seamless, I really love them!
wonderful cherry / 21504 posts
@Ash: the bravado ones from the gap are included in their sales usually so I ended up getting mine for $20 something. I think glamour mom is as expensive as the bravado ones.

I love the my Brest Friend pillow. I am married to it and have a hard time cheating on it with my Boppy. I've been wearing the Gillian and O'Malley nursing tanks but I am looking forward to getting a few different kinda. Lanolin saved my nips the first week (on my second week now) and also letting my nips air dry after feedings.

@Ash: I love the Bravados because they have a really good built in bra!

@emg86: I can't say I have huge tatas.... yet. I'm feeling the pressure to buy the bravado tanks!
@Foodnerd81: they're on sale right now plus 40% off!! Tempting!
ETA: sold out! Booooo!
@evansjamie: air drying is a great tip - thanks!

Do you girls think this won't have enough support compared to a bravado tank? I just like the look of the material (looks like it will suck me in!).
hostess / wonderful watermelon / 39513 posts
@Ash: Yes, they are cotton! You should wait until you have the baby...your boob size might change!
honeydew / 7687 posts
tanks - bravado basics from target. better than the "real" bravados that are 2x as much. I have both! hated glamourmom tanks.
bras- bravado bliss off amazon but don't order until you're at least a month or two PP because you will fluctuate!
cream - lanisoh
GOLD / coconut / 8266 posts
Tanks - don't use nursing tanks.
Bras - bought Anita nursing bras off of Amazon because I have the big boobies!
Cream - Earth Mama Angel Baby nipple butter. I haven't had cracked nipples yet using the nipple butter.

Tanks: Target
Bras: Bravado Bliss
Nipple Cream: Coconut oil or Motherlove. APNO (by prescription) for cracked nipples.

@ASH Gap has them on sale for $39.20 + 40% off using coupon code GAPSAIL (expires today!) so total would be about $24 each. They also usually have free shipping on orders more than $50.

@heartonastring: sold out I'll keep my eyes peeled for another deal - after delivery Thanks!
@heartonastring: The Bravado tanks at Target?

@Ash: I have the Gilligan and O'Malley ones. I have a bunch and wear one every day under whatever top I have on. They go on sale sometimes too!

*favorite nursing tanks? Bravado (I only have the Target ones, but I love them!)
*favorite nursing bras? Bravado Body Silk - I only have 2 and I wish I had never bought any other ones and splurged on another one of these. I have Gilligan, H&M, Lamaze, and Motherhood - hate them all.
*favorite nipple cream? Newman's APNO
*anything else you recommend? I use Lansinoh nursing pads every day.

@Ash: if u decide to do the Target brand gilligan, and have the target cartwheel app it had 20% off. I just bought one to try. The nursing bra I liked retailed for 16.99 and with the coupon it turned out to be 13.something.
honeydew / 7909 posts
@MrsCastro: Awe, thanks so much! I bought a sleep bra the other day - I have a coupon too so I might be able to get a couple for a decent price

I like the destination maternity nursing tanks and the Gilligan nursing bras and tanks from Target. I live in Lansinoh disposable breast pads and I would die without my nursing nightgowns also from destination maternity.

@marionberry: I picked out a night gown/robe from motherhood maternity but couldn't justify spending 50 dollars on it. Why am I so cheap?!?!
bananas / 9357 posts
*favorite nursing tanks? I only bought the Target ones and they were fine. I didn't like how the bottom got stretch out though, but they're fine for around the house.
*favorite nursing bras? so after trying on so many nursing bras, I finally found my favorite. It's the Cake Lingerie Toffee bra. I would wait on a bra like that until your milk supply is established & you know what size you'll need. I love these sleep bras from Motherhood. http://www.motherhood.com/Product.asp?Product_Id=91178010120&MasterCategory_Id=MC13&green=89B0FA57-BBCD-5898-B3EC-A7E3EA9635F8
1 year pp and I still wear them every night. I just feel like my breasts always need support and these are comfy to wear at night and around the house. I just wear a tank over that the neck can stretch down easily.
*favorite nipple cream? Earth mama nipple butter
*anything else you recommend? I loved my bamboobies washable pads. But I would try something cheaper like the TLC reusable ones to see if you like reusable pads.
honeydew / 7909 posts
@mrskc: I totally have the cake lingerie website saved for after baby comes - I love love love some of the bras and the tanks! And I got a sample of the bamboobie breast pads so I'll be able to try them!!
pomelo / 5041 posts
@Ash: I thought it was expensive too but I needed one for my c-section and I've loved it so much while nursing that I recently bought another one. For a cheaper option, I also bought some xhileration nightgowns and robes from target that are similar and average about $20. They're not nursing tops but it's easy to pull down the strap of the nightgown to nurse at night.

I second @mrsrc: Bamboobies resusable pads are great for leaks. 9 months PP I still wear them everyday!

*favorite nursing bras? Bravado brand
*favorite nipple cream? Mother love and my own breastmilk
*anything else you recommend? My Brest Friend pillow from 0-4 months, and the Boppy from 4+ months!

Tanks: All from Target! Bravado and Gilligan brands for the clip down ones but my favorites are actually the Liz Lange maternity tanks that are loose enough around the neck to just pull down plus they are super long and comfy.
Bras: The Target Bravado ones both the one that is just like the body silk and the sleep bra. I ordered some pricey Bravado ones but decided I liked my cheapy ones better.
Cream: Earth mama angel baby
Other: For me an essential was and is comfy clothes that offer easy access for nursing!

@autumnlove: I have a Bravado nursing tank, but you can see my nips protruding! Not cool. Do you have this problem? I don't wear a nursing pad though.
