I bought a backpack for K but I bought it online. When it arrived I realized it is much too small for elementary school. So, where did you get your kid's backpack from and are you happy with it?

All of the kinders carry a tote bag, but she'll be able to carry a backpack to school next year. We have one from PBK, and a bunch from random places.
I grew up carrying a Jansport and I loved it!

My Kinder kid uses the large backpack from PBK. We also have one from Lands End that she used for Pre-K that is about the same size and quality.

My kids have backpacks from Walmart that seem like they will be perfect for Kindergarten.

I just bought the pbk large during a sale and having it monogrammed for pre k graduation present
I'm actually really sad to give up her preschool backpack but it's definitely not big enough. I bought it when she was tiny!

Fjallraven Kanken. Secretly I want one but used my kid as an excuse to buy one.

Target probably. I'll let him pick it whichever character backpack he wants.

We also have a large PBK. It kind of swallows her up but it's been a good size for her school binder, lunch box, and library book. She has room to put her jacket in if needed. It has held up really well so we won't need to buy a new one in the fall.

This past year my son used a basic backpack we bought at a sporting goods store a few years ago. It's pretty much ready for the trash now. He'll get a new backpack for the next school year, but I don't know what, yet. Hopefully something much more durable and definitely waterproof.

My mom wound up getting my son one from personalization mall. It looks very similar to the PBK one I had been eyeing up and even though we've only use led it for daycare/vacation so far, its held up pretty well (and was much cheaper!).

I got her a cheap one when she was 3, way too big for her then but she loved it, and that thing is still going strong after a year or Kindergarten. I might do llbean if it ever breaks down bc of its replacement policy but for the last 3 yrs her $8 backpack has worked out just fine.
