I look forward to no more daycare bills! Sure, we will have summer camps or track out camps and after care to pay for but it will be nothing like what we are paying for daycare right now. Hip hip hooray!!

I was really looking forward to the world language class he was going to have, I wanted to learn Mandarin! But that's not the language.
I am looking forward to new experiences and new friends.

DD1 started last year so I'm looking forward to DD2 starting next year. Kinder didn't seem all that different from preschool. I think the big changes will come this year, 1st grade.

Her elementary school is a few blocks from home and right across the street from the subway. So, looking forward to no longer having to take public transportation to and from school.
We paid our last tuition bill/childcare bill in July and it felt great. LO starts UPK in September but we have to take 2 buses to her school for the year.

Nothing. We'll have to do after care and we live in a district with a lot of SAHMs so I worry about her feeling badly that she doesn't get picked up at the same time as other friends 
She loves her day care and her friends there. I'm ok with the fact that it costs more than after care + summer camps.

@Truth Bombs: I see this side too. Having two drop offs in the morning and then finding coverage for all the breaks, days off, and summer is going to be a pain. While the savings will be nice, day care is so much easier.

My son starts in a few weeks! I'm looking forward to him learning how to read. I also hope he is excited about going to school and learning and I'm excited for the new friends he will make. He's the only one from his daycare going to his elementary.
