This is probably a silly question, but what do you mix formula with? We are supplementing and I've just been mixing it with tap water, but realize that may not be the right thing to do. I forgot to ask yesterday at her well baby appt.
Advice?

I use nursed water...it's .99/gallon here. Our tap water is very hard and tastes horrible here.

@matador84: We drink our tap water all the time, but maybe I should pick up a gallon of water at the store? So many things to be indecisive about!

I don't think it's a big deal but for our water being nasty here better safe than sorry.

My bff just boils a kettle of water and keeps bit on her counter. I would only worry if you have fluoride in your tap water

Everyone I know just uses tap water. Check your water table and as long as your water is clean and has the right balance of minerals and such, you're fine.

Unless you have valid concerns about quality, tap is fine to use. Public water quality is generally more regulated than bottled water manufacturing.

We used boiled tap water. Our water tastes great and it's totally fine as-is, but just in case, I boil it and put it into a glass pitcher to cool. I always have another freshly boiled batch ready (fast, electric kettle) and mix a little bit of hot water and the already cooled boiled water when I make a fresh bottle. This way works best for us.

We don't give LO formula but we do give her cups of water. We use tap. The thought of using something different never crossed my mind!

Our tap water is good so we used that but I boiled it first, cooled it down to warm, and then mixed with formula.

We jut use tap. We figured if LO had problems we could always start using a brita or get bottled water but luckily never had to. Formula is expensive enough!

We use nursery water for formula and bottled water for when he drinks water. Our tap water is gross!
