My daughter stubbornly wants to practice writing both upper and lower case letters, but I'm wondering if it's better to focus on one until she fully masters it (she's at about 75% on both). Any teachers with some insight?

If she really wants to practice writing both, let her do it! Lowercase letters are used more frequently in writing sentences, and that might lean in favor of learning them first, but really, to be a proficient writer you have to know them all. Bottom line: I'm 100% sure you can't screw this one up.

They do upper and lower in my lo's preschool class so I would say go ahead and let her try both. If she wants to, why not!

I teach lowercase first in my preschool classroom, since it's the majority of what kids see/write but if she's interested in both follow her lead! Most uppercase letters are similar to lowercase formations anyway.

I taught first grade the last two years in a school where many of my students were still struggling with the Alphabet.
There is nothing wrong with her focusing on one or the other or both, she needs to learn them all regardless.
Do you have alphabet posters on your walls? Get one that has both letters togther.
Honestly, I think it's more important to focus on letter sounds than their names anyway, since seldom do you say their names when actually reading. So if she's practicing both, she mght learn sounds faster!
Do you let her watch Youtube? Here are a few of my favourite ABC videos:
Great for Kinesthetic Learning. (I stop it after each letter during some viewings since it's so fast).
There are literally hundreds, find what you like!

A mix is just fine! Letter ID and sound is most important rather than upper versus lower when they are small.

I teach kindergarten, and for the students who need extra practice, we teach them simultaneously. But, uppercase is easier for younger kids. DS just turned two, and we are only practicing uppercase

Mine writes both, seemingly depending on her mood. I just let her go with it!
