In an ideal world my husband, grandparents and I will each watch LO a day then the other 2 days she'll be in daycare. This way she gets the best care from family and also the social interaction with other adults & kids.
What is your ideal child care scenario?

Montessori daycare in the morning, lunch at the school every day, then home with a grandparent or nanny for afternoon nap and afternoon activities.
The above is our actual routine, except the daycare isn't Montessori.
I find it easier on my son when he does the same thing every day, it would be difficult for him to be cared for by different people everyday.

My ideal situation would be me at home part-time, with her at daycare part-time! Wishful thinking!!!

I have my ideal- I'm a SAHM but I do have help from my mom whenever I need it. So if I'm sick or have a doctor's apt, my mom will watch LO.

I think my mom will watch our LO 2 days a week and he/she will go to daycare the other 3 days. I work at a pre-k center (only 4-5 year olds) but we have a daycare for younger kids about 20 min away (near where my mom lives) so I'll get a big discount. I only wish that he/she could be in the same building, but I know I'm pretty lucky.
I think when we have LO #2, I'll probably end up being a SAHM for awhile.

My ideal would be me as a SAHM, with a family member coming for a few hours a week so I had some time to run errands, etc, and the baby got to bond with a grandparent or whoever. We'll have close-- I'll be a SAHM, but won't have that weekly sitter and none of our family live close by.

Oh man, in an ideal world where money isn't an issue? I'd say a nanny 3 days a week while I'm working and I'd be home the other two.

My ideal would be for me to be a SAHM. I would be disciplined enough to do activities with her and join mom groups so she would get social interaction.

Ideally? A home daycare center. That's what I grew up in, and it was wonderful. We had the personalized attention of being in a home, got social interaction from other children, but didn't get lost in a "big" daycare center. Also, it would be 3 days a week, and I would be home the other 2 days a week. Sadly, this is not an option, so sort-of-small daycare center it is, 5 days a week.

I would love to work like 30 hours in the office over 4 days. Plus maybe time at home if I had to.

Ideally I would work 16 hours a week and LO would be with my mother.

Most perfect dream scenario would be me having a 15 hour a week job in a lab, three afternoons a week. And either our great babysitter or my mother in law caring for my daughter.
