I usually give E one snack a day- right after his afternoon nap. Lately it's been some fruit...cut up grapes or pieces of watermelon, etc.

Fruit, mum mums, rice cakes, corn crackers, corn waifers, raisins, dried apricots, slices of cucumber, cooked veggies. She's allergic to milk, wheat and egg, (and possibly to oats and coconut) so it's a little tricky.

@sarbear: do they make a huge mess? I was thinking about getting those with M. But I let her roam free with snacks.

Cheese sticks (or regular cheese), mini bagel with strawberry cream cheese, hummus and pita, guacamole and chips, fruit, carrot sticks and hummus, gold fish, these quinoa "power bars" I make with sunbutter, quinoa, dates and dark chocolate chips.

@locavore_mama: if he tries to climb the furniture with one in hand it can make a mess. She can try one when she comes over next. We also have the yogurt ones.
