My 16 month old has tomatoes every day, without fail. He LOVES them! Does yours have a staple like mine or are they into variety?

Eggs and bananas. He will say "nana" and go over to the fruit bowl and point if I forget to give him one for a snack and he will straight up refuse anything for breakfast unless he has his scrambled egg to go along with it!

Diced fruit in cups packed in water. Mandarin oranges, peaches (favs), or pears. She goes the cabinet multiples times a day and would eat them with every meal if we let her.
She would eat mac n cheese every day if we let her. Try and keep it to every other!

bananas, as long as we have them in the house. Or cheese, in some form.

@hilsy85: @coopsmama: My LO is such a weirdo. I can never get him to eat bananas! They are such an easy and nutritious food. I'm so jealous that yours love them!

@travellingbee: How funny! Maybe it's the texture? C only likes them if I let him hold onto the banana himself. I think he likes that he can pack it around and snack on the go! (...which admittedly does make for a mess sometimes and I will find smushed banana on his toys, etc. Gross!)

@travellingbee: Tomatoes too!! She eats like 10 cherry tomatoes with every meal.
Also, if I let her, olives. I wish they weren't so salty though
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@swurlygurl: Yes! Same! And he also loves olives. I limit those to only on occasions for the same reason. I think he likes the salt since he loves pretzels too.
I think he would happily eat the same meal for every meal. He would be happy if I only gave him hot dogs, cheese, berries and tomatoes for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Cheese.
@swurlygurl: My LO too, I send in her lunch a few times a week but I feel bad giving them to her every day.

Bananas! It was his first word. Also blueberries. He cries when he finishes his blueberries.

Yogurt. If she ruled the kitchen, she would eat granola every day for every meal.

Yogurt for sure, banana most days - less so in the summer when more fruits are available
nectarine / 2834 posts
@dagret: I always wonder if that has anything to do with it. I ate fruit, especially grapes all day every day when I was pregnant with her, and now DD is obsessed with fruit.
That being said - she eats grapes every single day.

We try not to give the same things every day, but he has avocados at least 5 or 6 times a week! He loves them, has never ever refused!

Crackers! We give him multigrain ones, but graham crackers are his favorite!

Yogurt and some type of berry...strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, it doesn't matter!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
Nothing! I try not to give him the same foods every day. But he does love cheese and asks for it most days

Blueberries, blackberries, and those mandarin oranges packed in their own juices.
apricot / 288 posts
Blueberries...when she asks for them it sounds like she's saying "boobies" though...
