puffs, mum mums, fruit (berries, grapes, oranges, apples, bananas, etc), diced mini cubes of cheese, yogurt, grilled cheese bites, annie's graham crackers, tomatoes, we'll prolly add peanut butter with cracker to the mix shortly

Bananas, yogurt, nutri-grain bars, and fig newtons are always a big hit. I am not really a fan of the processed food, BUT, my LO is a peanut, so if she will eat, I am happy!

Fruit, dried fruit (raisins, apricots, apples), corn, roasted sweet potatoes and carrots, shrimp chips I fry up myself (those discs made of tapioca), finger food leftovers like macaroni, popcorn. As a treat, she gets a date or two She's allergic to gluten, dairy, eggs, and possibly coconut, so it makes it difficult to just buy things.

Honestly I don't know if I agree with your pedi. My DD is a really good eater at her meals. Between meals she rarely gets snacks and doesn't indicate she's hungry for them. When she does eat a snack she often will eat poorly at her meal.
But to answer your question, good snacks for us are fruits, yogurt, cheese slices, crackers (fish crackers actually), those gerber fruit bars or toddler teething biscuits.

@autumn865: Maybe the pedi meant more variety? I will say my LO definitely needs snacks, asks to eat, and is in a better mood after having had one!
Lots of mine have been mentioned, but I'll add hummus as one of our frequent snacks!

He only snacks once a day (not at all sometimes), but when he's at home he has plain yogurt with fruit mixed in, fruit, cheese, avocado, things like that. When he's out we're not very creative and just bring a thing of Cheerios in case he starts to fuss from being hungry. We try to focus on his meals.

@autumn865: I'm with you. I think one snack at a set time is fine (like an afternoon snack, as the gap between lunch and dinner is pretty long), but I really don't want LO to get in the habit of snacking all day and not eating his meals.

My LO is pretty big (always in 50-75 percentile) and at 12 months she would have mostly fruit as snacks - like 1/2 a banana for one snack and a few strawberries for her other snack. Or some cut up apples and maybe Cheerios sometimes. She was still nursing 2x a day and eating 3 meals.
Around 15-16 months is when she started doing larger snacks bc she was staying up longer and the time bw meals was getting longer. We'd do granola bars, cheese sticks, yogurt, crackers and dried fruit like raisens. Around 18 months she loved graham crackers and goldfish/cheddar bunnies. She still ate a lot of fruit at meals so I was ok with crackers. At 24 months she loves popcorn as a snack
ETA: at 24 months we have started limiting snacks bc she started not eating well at meals and when we limited snacks she eats sooooo much better at meals

@autumn865: yeah I wasn't sure if I agreed with her either. He does 3 meals and one snack because breakfast and lunch are pretty close. I don't want him to get in the habit of snacking a lot and eating very little at mealtime. We were discussing weaning when she asked.. He is also 25th percentile for weight. But she didn't say he needed more snacks because of that though...
we did 3 meals and 2 snacks today, but he didn't really eat a whole lot at the "new snack" time.
