One of the ladies at my LO's daycare seems to be upset with me that I didnt get her a gift but she isnt in my LO's class. I did get a gift for some teachers who arent always in her class as long as I know they are sometimes there but this particular lady I have never seen her in there. She even made a comment when I brought gifts in for the evening shift. She asked if one of the gift baskets were for her and I felt kinda uncomfortable. Should I just ignore her? My daughter will be going to that class once she walks and I dont want her to not be nice to my LO

Some people are so aggressive about receiving gifts! Takes all the joy out of it for me when that happens...

That's weird she even asked, I wouldn't have asked even if your LO was in my class...awkward. I would just ignore it, honestly. Bring in cookies if you feel like you need to do something.

Do you think maybe she comes and helps out during the day when you don't see her? I know there are a few teachers that do that in DD's room. But, I only made gifts for the ladies that were designated to her room.
I agree with maybe bringing in a big batch of cookies or something and a card for the other teacher?

@BabyBoecksMom: The gifts werent all that they were the large gift baskets from costco they cost about $30 each but I had to buy 7 of them! with Ghiradelli chocolate, and cookies and stuff but its very big and nicely arranged with abig ribbonand it comes with a keepsake type of bag. maybe she just felt left out?
@littlek: No she is never in my baby's class to my knowlege. she is in the toddler class and my baby is still in the infant room.
Yeah I think she is wrong to make me feel bad since she doesnt even care for my child

Maybe next time you could get a bigger basket for all the teachers in the one room? Then no one feels left out because it's a shared basket? I dunno...

@Mrsbells: Wow, I would be mad if any daycare teacher made a comment to me like that! Even if she is justified, it is classless. I would maybe check with the director just to make sure she isn't one of the teachers during the day when you may not see her. I asked for a list from my director yesterday, and there was one lady whose name I did not recognize, and I did'nt even realize she had been taking care of DS during the daytime.
