There is a child sobbing uncontrollably. When the parent arrives, they find their child crying hard with snot dripping down their face. The teacher says, "(S)he has been like this since naptime." If a child at your center had been inconsolable since naptime, and it has been over 2 hours, what would your childcare provider do? Would they try to console the child? What if that wouldn't work? Would they let them keep crying? Would they consider calling home?
On another note - what would you want your childcare provider to do if this happened to your child?
