T is 13 months and we haven't done it yet. Our doc told us to figure out whole milk first, then work on weaning. We're not there yet. I'm dreading it!

DS is going to be 15 months next week. He still gets a bottle at nap time and bed time. I am going to try and go cold turkey this weekend! We tried once before but he ended up getting sick and it just wasn't a good time. I'm hoping this time works.

We stopped all daytime bottles at 11.5 months. We cut out her night bottle around 13ish months.

I'm guilty of avoiding it also. She's 14 months. She's been on whole milk since 12 months, no formula, but I've been procrastinating switching off bottles because she WILL NOT drink milk out of anything but her bottle.
She only gets it at nap/bed times.

I'm at 11 months and the pedi wants him off by.his first birthday! On scared!!! P loves his.bottle and isn't a huge fan of his sippy cup!

Currently T gets it on wake up, nap time, bed time. I've tried to just give him breakfast instead, but he freaks out and demands the bottle. He is so strong willed!

Just wanted to follow up to see how it went?
My LO just turned 1, and I am in the process of not only weaning from our last 2 nursing sessions (morning and before bed . . . which is more comfort than nursing), and also bottle weaning.
Any advice/ suggestions?

We weaned from the daytime bottles the week before he turned 12 months, and his nighttime bottle was removed the day after his bday. We did it cold turkey and it went better than I could have imagined!

We've been daytime bottle weaning this week (at 11 months). He's still taking formula from a straw sippy cup a couple of times a day and he gets one nighttime bottle before bed as part of his bedtime routine.

C is 17 months and still gets one at bedtime. Im hesitant to take it away from her since she gets a lot of comfort from it.
Thats the only one she gets though.

@loveisstrange: Same here. I'm thinking about taking it away in the next week or, two, though. I've been cutting down the amount he gets in it, and we're down to just 5.5 oz, but he gets upset when that's done some nights and it breaks my heart. He's never taken a pacifier and its seems getting a good amount of sucking in right before bed just soothes him so much.

@BananaPancakes: I absolutely agree. Sometimes we have to go up and fill it up with water again before she will settle. I feel like if she's still getting that much comfort from it, I don't want to take it away.

DS turned 1 on Monday so we are just starting to introduce whole milk. My plan is to only give whole milk in sippy with BM in bottles and be done with bottles by the time I stop pumping.
