When he is mature enough, right now at 18months I like to have him contained!

We use the fisher price booster instead of a high chair, but we just took away the tray and moved her up to the table last week. So...28 months? She's doing great

@Mrs. Superhero: Oh cool! WE have the Fisher price Space Saver too. I look forward to that too. Thanks!
@looch: Yes, I hear you! My similar age LO is a fireball.

DD is 2 and hates booster seats so high chair it is. It is good for containing her, too, anyway!

DD is 26m and we just moved her from high chair to booster seat; however our high chair was the wooden no frills kind they have at many restaurants. DD loves being able to get in and out of the seat herself now that she can.

@purrpletulips: what booster seat do you have? DD can climb in and out of her high chair so I think that is why she likes it.

We use two different ones: a BRU brand plastic one with 3pt harness and a molded plastic one (like many restaurants used to have). We keep the BRU one strapped to a plastic patio chair for use outside and the molded one is used inside. The molded one doesn't have any safety straps but we have really wide chairs so it doesn't move around. DD loves them both.

We put LO in a booster+tray when she was 6 months old and she still sits in it to eat at 14 months old.

I am thinking soon (18 months now) because he doesn't want to sit in the high chair, he wants to sit in a normal chair, which leaves his chin basically at table level and he's in constant danger of wiggling off the chair!

Like @Mrs. Superhero my LO is in a Fisher Price booster seat and has been using it since 6 months. Around 10 months we got rid of the tray since it was bothering him. He is much more cooperative sitting in his booster pushed up against the table. He is 13 months old now.
