If you started with purées, when did you start offering finger/table foods? Also, what kind of foods did you offer at first?

~7.5 months and we started purees at a week shy of 6m. I think we offered either bananas or sweet potato fries.

We started pretty much at the same time as we started purees with a little bread to gnaw on during breakfast. He also got millet and corn pops (all sugar free) for his afternoon snack (he was fed a puree but ate the pops in between). I guess those are similar to puffs.

With my first, we started purees at 5.5 months but didn't offer finger foods until around 10 months (I was paranoid about choking!!). With DD2, we started purees at 6 months and finger foods a couple of weeks later with pizza being her first solid food. Maybe not recommended but she loved it! We started giving her tiny bites of our meals after that and now, at ten months old, she pretty much eats baby size versions of our meals (meat, veg, starch, and fruit - no desserts yet!)

Around 9 months is when she would pick up banana cubes and eat them. Then avocado, Cheerios, carrots, kielbasa.

Right at 8 months. I offered pieces of banana and small pieces of waffle.
