We're not there yet but, I'm curious. For those of you with two working parents, when did you decide it was time for daycare to start giving your lo solids?

Our LO is the same age as yours, so we recently talked about this. It will def be a while. We will wait until she has mastered eating and doesn't spit out every bite initially. I am think probably 9 months at the very earliest, probably closer to 10-11

We started sending purees around 6.5 months.

We sent solids when LO starting eating twice a day. Around 7 months?
We feed LO dinner at home, but send breakfast to daycare.

After Tyler was at daycare for about a week, they asked me to start sending solids. The kids all eat at a table (with cut through seats) and they could tell that Tyler was jealous/wanted to eat. He already was eating them 2x a day at home, so at first I started just sending cereal. He ate that for a week and then I also started sending 2 oz of food. At 6.5 months he now has a serving of cereal in the morning there (I mix 1 oz of milk with cereal) and 2-3 oz of food at lunch. I once sent a 4 oz jar by mistake and he ate all of it that day too. He was about 5.5 months at the time we started sending food and he was a little over 4 mos when we started on solids.

We are starting solids in a week and I was curious about this. LO is 6 months old, were is time going???

I'm going to start Monday and she just turned 7 months. I'll be sending homemade oatmeal with apple sauce then switch it out with peach purée. Won't be sending a 2nd meal for a while.
