LO was having a major meltdown, and wouldn't let me feed her until i put some finger foods on her tray. Yeesh. I was finally able to feed her afterward. She is 8.5 months old.
How old was your LO when he/she didn't want to be fed? How did you know?

Just about that age. He started clamping down on the spoon and/or spraying purees at me. From then on it was baby led weaning all the way.

Around 9.5-10 months. One week he was eating big bowls of porridge and other mashed foods for meals and then one day the spoon wouldn't go in his mouth (stubborn little thing). I had to suddenly come up with various finger/soft foods.

We do BLW weaning for most foods but I still spoon feed her messy stuff like yogurt and apple sauce. My LO is one and doesn't have any interest in using a spoon yet.

LO is so stubborn and bossy and independent that at around 10 months, she started freaking out if she didn't have her own spoon or fork to feed herself with. After a couple of months of fighting, I just gave up and it appears we've been doing BLW. I just prepare the food, put it on her tray, sit back and watch. Even with things like yogurt, it's a big mess, but she won't let me help her. SIGH.
