I am 5dp5dt...and trying not to drive myself completely bonkers. It's too cold to go outside, so I'm watching WNTW and Bizarre Foods, while putting off cleaning the house. (I go back to work next week.)
Who's there with me?

I'm 5 dpo.
Luckily (???) I have evil professors who assigned papers due right after Thanksgiving (and the week before finals) so I'll have plenty of school work to do this week.

@MaryM: That's good (I think)! I'm also trying to recuperate from a cold, so even less inclined to be productive. Was this a treatment or non-treatment cycle for you? FX either way!

I am just starting to look into interventions. It is a progesterone supplemented cycle (my second so far).

@FliegepilzHut: Thanks! I hope you're feeling better soon and can find something to help occupy your mind more!
I think I'd rather be over anxious and stressed out than have to write two papers...bleh. I asked DH last night if we could just do Thanksgiving again instead of having to go work today (I had 5 days off, but could so use 5 more!)

@MaryM: Thank you! Maybe one day of blah and I can start on some of my projects. I hope your papers flow for you and you can feel rested soon!

@FliegepilzHut: I'm 4dpo into cycle 20, and wishing the days would hurry up. I've been hesitant to post in the IF forums because I'm having a hard time admitting that this is really secondary IF, and I feel like if I post something and then get a bfp that cycle, that those of you who have been on here forever will roll your eyes at the new kid's earlier whining.
Oh hey, I overthink everything!
We just heard back about DH's SA and the next step is to meet with an RE. My OB has handled the initial testing (day 3 blood work, SA), and she doesn't think I need an HSG since I had no trouble the first time (3 years ago). She just thinks this is an AMA issue, and that I might need clomid / IUI / something to get me started. So, this TWW is a bigger deal to me, since if AF shows I start the more serious interventions.
I waited so long to start testing / interventions because DH was convinced each month was "our month" and we just needed to be patient. His boys from his 1st marriage were 1 and done, and we conceived C in our 3rd cycle.
TL;DR: I'm 4dpo and worried that because it was easy the first time, my IF issues aren't as serious as yours.
And @MaryM: YES, 5 more days off would be awesome!

@ballerinabee: My DH doesn't really understand that something could be "wrong" either. Even when I talked to him about being put on progesterone, I don't think he got it. He asked me later "Is it working?" Um...if it was I'd have told him I was pregnant!
A bazillion of our friends got pregnant this year. And because we did get pregnant last december (but miscarried), he's convinced nothing is wrong. To him, it's not a matter of if, it's when.

@ballerinabee: It is so hard...I don't think any of us would begrudge your being here for a moment! My story is long and crazy...but there's "nothing wrong"...which in itself is kind of frustrating. My cycle is high stakes as well...I have 1 frozen embryo remaining...but feel like I would have to make a hard decision soon, which is whether or not to do another cycle of IVF. Anyway, I'm rooting for you!!!

@FliegepilzHut: this thursday (see my above edits....i don't belong in your thread and feel silly for commenting!). Fingers crossed for everyone here!

@FliegepilzHut: Hope today went ok for you, with the waiting! Are you feeling any better?

@momazon: Only 5 days left tomorrow (or less)! And I'm still feeling pretty snotty...stupid cold. You have betas coming up, yes?
kiwi / 613 posts
@FliegepilzHut: That's not too long to wait! I envy your willpower-- I don't know how you can stand the suspense! I hope you're getting lots of rest and relaxation to kick this cold. Ugh! Yes, I'll go in for a beta on Saturday. If I don't die of impatience before then.
pomegranate / 3533 posts
@momazon: That's incredibly soon! I'm willing to wait because I want ONE really definitive answer...and a very short wait post-test and pre-beta! How are you feeling? Sending you lots of good thoughts!
kiwi / 613 posts
@FliegepilzHut: See, you're smart! The post-test, pre-beta time period is torture... but I still am glad I did it as it suits my impatient personality a bit better. I'm feeling really good so far-- and everything crossed for you in a few days!!!
pomegranate / 3533 posts
@momazon: Thank you! Everything crossed for a H&H 9 months for you as well!!!!

@FliegepilzHut: thank you so much, you are so sweet!
The "nothing wrong" answer is good and bad. It's good to know there's nothing that should be preventing us getting pregnant, but it makes it all the more frustrating to NOT be getting pregnant! I'm grateful to know that we're both healthy and should have no trouble, but we ARE having trouble. and I really hope you get your bfp / great beta in a few days.
@momazon: on Saturday!
How are you all doing? I'm 6dpo today, and trying so hard not to symptom spot or get my hopes up (again), but it's tough. Our wedding anniversary is the day before AF is due, and a bfp would be such a wonderful gift for both of us.
pomegranate / 3533 posts
@ballerinabee: Thank you! Just a few more days to wait...and I'm definitely trying to keep symptom-spotting at bay. FX that your womb will have a LO making itself cozy in the next few days! Are you more inclined to PO-all-the-S's or will you try to wait patiently?

@FliegepilzHut: good luck!! Fingers and toes are crossed for you!

@bluestriped bee: Thank you! It's either taken or not by now...feeling hopeful and guarded in turn. I'll know in a few days! How are you doing? Do you have your dates yet?
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
@FliegepilzHut: I'm good. I'm in Chicago on a work & personal trip. I get back home tomorrow. My dates for my FET is still planned for Jan 28th. Just keeping distracted and trying to concentrate on the holidays.
pomegranate / 3533 posts
@bluestriped bee: Great! It'll be here before you know it! I'll definitely be part of your cheering section!
apricot / 452 posts
@FliegepilzHut: I always say I'm going to be patient, and then I PO-all-the-Ss. Ha. I torment myself with the stark white BFNs, but I'm way too impatient. I'll be 8dpo tomorrow, so I could in theory start POAS this weekend. Ah, temptation! Is your beta Monday?
I am trying so hard not to overanalyze, because I've been wrong for almost 2 years, but the sides of my breasts are so tender (almost painfully so), and my appetite and sleep are off. Could be lots of things, but I can't help but get my hopes up again! I am my own worst enemy.
@bluestriped bee: I'll be cheering for you when the time comes too! I'm glad you have the holidays as a distraction, not that much of anything helps distract us, really...
pomegranate / 3533 posts
@ballerinabee: Yep, Monday! I will POAS in 2-3 days, just to be "prepared." FX for you...it's still very early!
apricot / 452 posts
@FliegepilzHut: Come on, Monday!
I POAS this morning (and a wondfo from a known bad batch, at that), and got a BFN. Since I was expecting that, I was more amused with myself and my impatience than anything else.
I won't use a FRER for a few more days yet. Not worth wasting the $ if it's too early (since I didn't temp this month, I'm not certain that my FF O date is correct). I'll keep using the bad batch of wondfos for fun, though. Never know! (the batch expired 11/14 and apparently are duds / false negative-prone)

@ballerinabee: Aww...rats. Hopefully your LO will implant today...or in the next couple of days if this is your cycle! I have tentatively decided to test tomorrow....feeling hopeful AND nervous!

@FliegepilzHut: I'm hoping and wishing so hard for you to get a bfp tomorrow!! Come on, holiday magic!

@ballerinabee: Thanks! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you as well!

@FliegepilzHut: @MaryM: How are you ladies doing? Any news?
BFN on a FRER for me yesterday at approx 10dpo. Trying not to let it get me down, since I'm not out until AF shows, but losing hope.
pomegranate / 3533 posts
@ballerinabee: on a FRER today, 1st beta today; so far so good! I'm sorry you had to see that . I'd give it a few more days before I'd count you out!
