Yep, DH sent me this earlier. I was just telling him how empowered I felt when I breastfed LO three times in public this week. So glad to see everyone support the mom. That guy was a straight up jerk. All he had to do was look away and walk somewhere else if he was uncomfortable.

The more I see stories like this the more determined I am to breastfeed in public.

On a side note, that baby looked so peaceful eating despite the drama going on around him

I haven't watched the video but read it. The guy sounds like he was a little nuts to begin with, but that's so nice that people gathered around her.
I have nursed in public a ton, with and without a cover, and honestly never felt uncomfortable. I always try to find a spot where no one has to look at me, like in a restaurant I make sure I'm facing a wall or in a booth, not facing another diner, and I've never had an issue. I was surprised since that town in CT isn't that far away from here.

@erinbaderin: Agree. Sometimes I actually secretly wish someone would try to say something to me so I can go off on them People need to CTFD about nursing in public.

That is my friend's sister. It is crazy how fast the story has taken off. I'm glad people are finally taking a stand and supporting moms.

@erinbaderin: Me too! I didn't really with DD b/c we had to use a nipple shield for a while and she almost would only nurse laying down... But for #2 I'm totally determined to do it more!

Between this story, Orlando (gun control), Disney, and the Cincy zoo I'm about ready to delete my FB. I seriously have no faith in humanity anymore!

i don't know why but this video made me cry a little - it was so great to see that woman come to her aid and help her --- that man is an a**hole.

@hellobeeboston: me too! She just sounded so shaky and like she was going to cry... and it's just so unnecessary of that lunatic to start screaming at her! #getalife

In a world were people are being shot, feeding a baby should be the least of peoples concerns.

@T.H.O.U.: exactly.
Way to go for sticking up for this woman. I don't bf but I think I would have told the guy to get lost!

@T.H.O.U.: I'm normally pretty confrontational when it comes to stuff like this, but I've toned it waaay down. There are too many crazies out there and I'm afraid someone would hurt me or my kids!
