I was watching Pregnant in Heels and the mom couldn't breastfeed so she fed her baby breastmilk from a bank. The idea weirds me out but DH said he would be fine with it!

I would for a limited time if I had some medical thing or something and couldn't feed him for a week or something like that, but I wouldn't do it forever. If it was going to be a situation where he'd need it for the rest of his infancy, I'd switch to formula.
PS. But now I have a good stash in the freezer so I wouldn't actually have to do this.

NO. BFing M has made me truly realize how what I eat really is what she eats. So no way I trust milk from a stranger.

@regberadaisy: Me too, even though it is screened and everything ... I just don't know enough about the donor ...

I don't think so. Would rather feed her formula.

I would. I'm a milk donor and did a lot of research on milk banks before I started donating, and milk sharing is something I really advocate now.

I would only do it if I personally knew and trusted the donor...like my sister or something. Otherwise, I'd rather feed formula.

absolutely! human milk is meant for human babies, if i couldn't give my LO my own breast milk, i'd want them to have milk from a milk bank if i had access to one.
milk is from screened donors, then mixed with multiple donor's milk donations to ensure balanced nutrition, and batches are tested to ensure it's safe. i don't see any more risk in that than in formula manufacturing and you are giving them the proven health benefits of human breast milk.

FYI - Most milk banks do a pretty intense health screening of donors, including blood tests and finding out the medications and supplements the donor takes. It's actually pretty hard to get approved to donate through a bank.
