Aside from one or two people, I really like all the ladies at LO's daycare but I feel like they dont follow my instructions well and it makes me nervous that they may not be heating up the bottles of breastmilk correctly. For some reason I have been more and more paranoid that they are just heating it up in the microwave. I think this because
When LO first started daycare I took in wipes for her and plastic container/dispenser for it. A day or so later one of the ladies told me they didnt need the dispenser. I was a little confused as to how they would use the wipes without the container but i just said ok. Then I realized days latereven after talking to them about LO having bumps on her butt that they never even opened my wipes and they were using their own generic brand. I brough it up again and they said they werent using my wipes because I hadnt brought in a dispenser case. So I brought back the dispenser case and I personally put it near their changing station with her name on it. I saw them use her wipes once or twice on her. She has now been at the daycare over a month and I have had to take it more diapers but they have never asked me for more wipes so I asked them if they need more wipes and one lady said oh we dont use your wipes, we use the school wipes and only use yours when ours runs out. She said this as if they were doing me a huge favor. The point is I specifcally requested that they use mine, just so I can be sure of why she was getting the bumps on her butt. They disregarded my requests. I just let it go because I dont know what else to do and dont want to make a big deal about it
Anyway back to the milk issue, when I was taking in her milk in the drop in liners they had no choice but to warm it WITHOUT using the microwave since the liners are too delicate for the microwave, but once I changed the bottles and started adding a teeny bit (less than one oz) of formula to her breast milk. One of the ladies said to me the milk looks like its all formula since its so white and that the other teachers were convinced it wasnt breastmilk. I then noticed that on her daily report sheet sometimes they circle formula instead of breastmilk. I mentioned this to them that it was still breastmilk and shouldnt be in the microwave but now I cant stop thinking about it. What more can I do to ensure they are heating up her milk right.
