Where have you gotten your nursing bras? I'm almost 34 weeks.. should I pick up at least one now before the baby comes? I know my boobs will change/ grow, but I feel so unprepared... Where can I pick up at least one that's not super-expensive? Thanks!!
ETA: I actually bought 2 nursing camis at H&M for less than $30 (for 2).. I was so excited to find them there!

I got a simple bravado one, and a nursing tank. I wore the a lot early on, but they were both pretty unflattering, so once I started leaving the house more I went and got fitted. I have two hot milk ones....I really like one of them. I keep meaning to buy myself another one...maybe with Xmas money....
But I would wait to buy any nice nursing bras. It's just too unpredictable. And, going to get fitted was one of my first solo outings with baby. It was a disaster, but good practice since the bra ladies were happy to help!

I had different bras when I was pregnant because my boobs were huge! I wore nursing tanks and sleeping bras when LO came. I didn't get a nursing bra until she was about a month old. My boobs actually went down, so if I had gotten them when I was pregnant, they would have been too big. I also went to a lactation store and was fitted.
Target's nursing tanks were/are my fav!

Your chest is actually the biggest during the second trimester. I have two sets of nursing bras - one I wore when I was pregnant and immediately pp, and one set I wear now that my chest has calmed down. During my pregnancy, I was up 2+ cup sizes and 2-3 band sizes. Now I am the same band size as pre-preg, maybe one cup size up.
But to your question - if you have a large chest, the Bravado Bliss is amazing. It's $$$, but worth every penny. And you really don't need that many bras - you do laundry so often with a newborn anyway that it's no big deal to wash them a lot.

I just wore nursing tanks for a month, but my lone nursing bra is from Soma. I need a few more for work.

I wore nursing tanks, sleep bras, and a couple cotton ones, all from target, for the first few months. Now that my boobs have stabilized I got fitted for a sized one but haven't found one I love yet.
If I'd bought during the third trimester I don't think they would fit- my ribs expanded so much. I'd wait until your milk comes in and your boobs settle down pp.

I wore nursing tanks and basic stretchy nursing bras for a while. I bought one at 5 weeks PP, but then my ribs finally shrunk back down (along with my hips) and it wound up being pretty big and unflattering after a while. I still wore it because I am cheap. Target had my favorite ones though. They were pretty inexpensive and they had lots of styles. The only issue I had was having a smaller band size and bigger cup size (started at 40DD - then 36DD/34DD towards the end).

@LovelyPlum: mine are definitely smaller than when I was pregnant, except maybe in the morning when she has a rare STTN. Then it's bowling balls on my chest.
They did get bigger as my milk came in then went back down.

My boobs actually grew another cup size, but I bought all my nursing bras from Target's Gilligan O' Malley line. They're alright, but can't beat the price! They start at $17!! I have a Bravado nursing tank I really like wearing in the evening to bed. Super easy to deal with for those MOTN nursing sessions.

@Foodnerd81: I'm so glad!! I'm currently sitting at 36 HH/I's right now (up from 34 GG/H), and I really didn't know how much more of this I could take. They could seriously kill a man they're so big. DH thinks they're pretty, but they also hurt too much for him to touch, sooo....they're doing no one any good right now!
Also, does anyone have the Bravado Essential Embrace Nursing bra? They actually have my size, and I'd love to get a review of them!

Target. I had awesome luck there. At first while on Mat leave I wore the sleeping ones. They have decent ones that are nice/everyday wear that I got for when I went back to work.
They were the only "regular" bra that didnt make the girls look Weird. LOL I dont know how to explain it. They just had good support and shape. I even tried HOT milk which is more expensive. But I didnt like how they fit or the "shape" they gave. -
I have a panache superbra and it isn't cheap but the best buy ever! From Nordstrom I believe?

I love the Bravado Bliss.
The LC who runs the nursing boutique close to my house recommends not buying a proper nursing bra until at least 6 weeks pp, as your breasts will change a lot up until that point. Before that, I used Warner's sleep/nursing bras and Target nursing tanks with built-in shelf bras.

My favorite are actually the cheapest ones I have - the Gilligan O'Malley underwire nursing bras from Target. I think they are still 20% off on the Cartwheel app!

I wore the Bravado (from Target) nursing tanks home from the hospital and just about every day for the first few months! I love my Bravado Body Silk nursing bras. Just recently I've been wanting a more structured bra and ordered a couple of Hot Milk ones to try! I haven't been happy with the H&M or Motherhood ones I've bought.
