I have posted several times about my 16 week old waking every hour and I think she isn't sleeping good because of the four month regression and maybe because she is overtired. We have gotten the advice on here and by friends to move up the baby's bedtime. Which sounds like a good idea but how do you do that???

Throughout the day she follows an every 2-3 hour or so cycle of sleep, eat, wake. So we have been trying to move up bedtime to the earlier sleep cycle time. It all sounds good but instead of her going to bed at 7:30 when she is tired, my DH and I rock her and try to put her down THREE to FOUR HOURS until she is in an absolute frenzy and passes out. She then goes on after all that work to wake every hour through out the night.

How do you move up a bedtime? We're about to give up and keep doing what we did before and starting bedtime routines around 8 and then bed at 10/11. At least then we got to spend some time together as a family instead of battling all night
