Ok, so maybe you guys were right...i am thinking these are a different OPK than the dollar store had when I was trying for LO #1. Not positive yet but the bottom (today) is darker than yesterday's.

@dominobee: Can you take me off the POAS list and move me to cheerleader because further reflection DH and I realized that a December due date would be no bueno with work. But I will be ovulating next cycle this month so I will definitely stick around!

@mrskansas: Progesterone induces weird dreams? Good or bad? I'm all about weird dreams, but I don't want upsetting dreams!

Happy Friday indeed! I need this weekend SO BAD right now. Also my friend is having a bonfire for her birthday tonight, and it's supposed to be 65 here around the time it will begin. So stoked about hanging out outside with friends and not freezing our butts off!

  11. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@dominobee: It does for me, either if I'm pregnant or on supplements. They can be good or bad, but usually just really weird.

A bonfire sounds like so much fun!

I don't want to jinx it, but so far I have not lost my shit on this round of Clomid.

I mean I have freaked out at work this week but that's due to deadline pressures and having too much work and not enough time.

I haven't once bit DH's head off and even when he was sassy or rude for no reason I let it roll off my back. I'm partly attributing it to a better "wind down" routine at night. Instead of watching TV right up until I fall asleep, I've been hopping in the shower around 9:30, doing a little bit of pampering/beauty routine and then hitting the hay by 10:30.

Weirdly, last night I was feeling frisky (not BD, just regular old non-procreative sex) and DH wasn't into it! He had a headache. LOL.

You guys I think I'm getting another dang vaginal infection. I don't get it. I haven't changed anything in terms of soaps or detergents or personal hygiene.

The only thing I can think is I didn't eat yogurt again this week, because we didn't have all the ingredients I needed for smoothies and I never made it to the store.

    Aggh, this is so annoying!

  14. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@dominobee: Any chance it could be related to the Clomid? I used to be prone to yeast infections due to hormones.

  15. dominobee

    pear / 1553 posts

@mrskansas: Could be. I suppose it's worth asking my RE next time I'm there.

  16. periwinklebee

    grapefruit / 4466 posts

@dominobee: If it's digestive issues, I would try naturally fermented foods for probiotics. This helped me a lot after coming off the bcp, which messed up my hormones, and then again with the hormone fluctuations that happened after my D&E. I think my stomach is really sensitive to progesterone or something else related. Lately I've been drinking algae (the green flavor) kombucha a few times a week. The price kills me, but beyond the probiotics the algae has a ton of b vitamins and is supposed to be great for regulating hormones. Kefir also works great...

  17. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@dominobee: I would. They may be able to prescribe Diflucan (if it is yeast) to start along with Clomid.

  18. dominobee

    pear / 1553 posts

@periwinklebee: I might try that! I do make my own kombucha at home. Wonder if I can somehow add the algae myself...?

The last time I went a week without greek yogurt I got both BV and a yeast infection. So I'm thinking it's diet related.

  19. periwinklebee

    grapefruit / 4466 posts

@dominobee: The one i use is GT Kombucha's multi-green. That's awesome that you make your own! I'm sure whatever flavor you make is great. I just grabbed the algae one because I'd heard somewhere that algae is a great fertility food. It kind of freaks me out to take supplements though b/c you never know how much of it you're getting, whereas with a drink I have a couple times a week i know i'm not overdosing... I'm sure like everything else it does very little for fertility (but the kombucha itself definitely helps my stomach!)

Clomid ladies... did you experience any cramping or pain in your ovary area after ovulation? I've had some pretty intense pains today on my right side where I ovulated. Maybe the corpus luteum?

I am on the train home from work and I have to pee really bad. I made the (bad) decision not to go before leaving work because I wanted a long hold for an OPK. I should be home in about 18 minutes...

    TTC Cycle:3
    Ovulation Date:4/8
    POAS Date: 4/22
    Baby #:1
What's up this month: trying to distract myself from the overwhelming obsession of ttc, updating resume applying for a new opportunity in my company...
Favorite baseball team and/or flower. METS-diehard fan here 😀 And my favorite flower is an orchid

Hey all! After an anovulatory cycle and subsequent Provera self-pity party, I'm back on the POAS boards!

Cycle Day: 9 (it's after midnight haha)
TTC Cycle: I think 4? Or 6 if we're being technical. I have long cycles
    Ovulation Date: TBD
    POAS Date: TBD
    Baby #: 2
What's up this month: I'm on Clomid 50mg, just finished my last pill
For Fun: Two things I associate with April are flowers and baseball, so let's do a two-fer! Favorite baseball team and/or flower. I don't watch much baseball so I guess the Tampa Bay Rays! I love so many flowers to get too specific, but basically anything big and fluffy. Football mums, peonies, garden roses so beautiful!

This morning in bed DH asked what cycle day it was. I love that he's starting to use the TTC lingo. I told him 10, which means we didn't need to BD because I probably won't ovulate until CD 15, but we did anyway. This month I am shooting for every day through CD 16. If that doesn't work, in combination with Clomid, HCG & progesterone, I'm thinking we'll just do IUI next month instead of timed intercourse. I'm ready to be pregnant! This is cycle 24 so I'm really running out of patience.

This morning started with dog snuggling, then BD (after kicking the dog out, LOL), then I worked out while my husband made buttermilk biscuits and mushroom gravy from scratch! I'm at work now which is a little bit of a bummer (this is above and beyond my 40 hour week, but that's journalism), but still, it was a great start to a Sunday.

@lilyofthewest: The most annoying thing about opks is needing a decent hold - ugh. But glad it was positive!

    @chypmunk:

@Mrs.Panda: Welcome back, I hope that the clomid does the trick and that this is your month!

@dominobee: Not to be overly cheery, but I think that things are going to come together for you soon - seems like you have a great plan of attack!

    Cycle Day: 14
    TTC Cycle: 7
    Ovulation Date: March 25
    POAS Date: April 7
    Baby #: 1
What's up this month: First cycle back to TTC after a loss in Feb. I don't know if the specialist I'm seeing Wed will tell me we should have waited longer since our last pregnancy could have been partial molar, but my hcg was down to 8 last Wed and the nurse said based on that no need to wait. I'm pretty happy about my POAS date. AF is due April 7th and that's my husband's birthday, so a would be the best birthday gift. However, if it's a we are planning to celebrate both our birthdays that evening, and I'm getting some new furniture delivered that day that I'm super excited about, so there will be some good distractions.
For Fun: Um, periwinkles. I know nothing about baseball

I'm at work on a Sunday making up two hours from last week when I went home to BD!!! Ugh!
    I better be pregnant.

@dominobee: Thanks I'm so happy to be back in the TTC game. I thought for sure this cycle would be funky, especially when I was still getting a positive hpt after AF, but the last bit of HCG fell quickly, and I ovulated right on schedule on CD 13. I am so hoping that this thread will have lots of sticky BFPs!

  38. periwinklebee

    grapefruit / 4466 posts

@mrskansas: Lol, I hope you are too - way to find a way to work BD in!

The last two times I ovulated were thanksgiving day and christmas day, literally. I can't tell you what a luxury this month it was to BD without having to worry about the in-laws or my parents walking in...

Oh also, I just thought this was so hilarious so I had to share. This morning DH pulled out right before he was about to come. I was like, dude, what are you doing?! LOL! Like he was reverting back to BEFORE we were trying to get pregnant. He was like "I don't know! I don't know what I was doing!" It was so funny we were both losing our shit cracking up. If I'd been closer to ovulation I probably would have been pissed, but on CD 10 it was just funny.

    @periwinklebee: That would be rough!
We were staying with my MIL once and were upstairs doing our thing and had the blinds up, not thinking anyone could see in. She later told my husband that we should probably lower the shades... Oops.
