@MaryM: so here's my "reminding" trick. It's magic. Instead of straight-up reminding, when it comes time, say "when you go get that machine, could you XYZ?" That way, you are reminding in such a way that you presume they would have remembered. (Learned from my mom...)

@MaryM: DH snores, too, it's not too terrible but he does wear one of those breath right strips every night. Best wishes on the positive opk! Get to it!

@Jess1483: This is great! I will definitely be doing this in the future!

@Jess1483: The only problem with that is that he uses Kaiser...so it's not like I could ask him to do anything else while he's there (I have different insurance)
But I WILL be bringing it up. This has been a two year battle...
And we've tried everything. Ear plugs, breath right strips, even a throat spray... I got a foam topper for our mattress because I kept waking up thinking there might be an earthquake because I can feel him snore. Ugh.
I even tried to think of things I've put off for a long time that bug him (like getting my ring insured. oops) so I can be like "Remember how I put this off and then finally did it? How about you...."

@MaryM: but it doesn't have to be connected. Can he pick up something from the grocery or hardware store on the way home?
pomelo / 5129 posts
I guess I could try to think of something.
He's the one that does the bulk of the errands and does them on his own (since he has so many days off) so it'll be hard to figure it out! But I'll slip it in at some point. Oh hell, after two years I think I can flat out say "When are you picking that machine up?" lol

Got my next blood drawn result, levels down to 14 from 27. Dr says that's still a good drop but I had myself convinced they would be at zero. Silly me, now I'm having a pity party for myself tonight.
On a positive note, I hope you all have a great weekend!

@HappyBluebird: you're so close!!
I've finally made plans to see a friend and meet her daughter this weekend. I'm anxious. I was SO excited we'd be pregnant together and was about to tell her I was pregnant when I had to cancel lunch because of the lovely combo of norovirus and my MC starting.
But I feel like I need to rip off the bandaid already and spend time with all these babies.

@MaryM: Thanks! I know I'm close. I want to get there asap so I can start this 6 month wait, I want to start the count down till we can go back to ttc

@MaryM: Good luck to you and your DH! Sleep apnea can be really terrible...hope he feels better soon!
@HappyBluebird: It felt like it took FOREVER for my levels to go down... You're almost there!
Good thoughts to you, @2PeasinaPod!

So, this is kind of crazy...but have you ever heard a song for the first time in a while and related to it in a completely different way?
I heard Pink's "Try" today on a long car trip:
Funny how the heart can be deceiving
More than just a couple times
Why do we fall in love so easy?
Even when it's not right
Where there is desire
There is gonna be a flame
Where there is a flame
Someone's bound to get burned
But just because it burns
Doesn't mean you're gonna die
You've gotta get up and try, and try, and try
and this:
Ever worry that it might be ruined
And does it make you wanna cry?
When you're out there doing what you're doing
Are you just getting by?
Tell me are you just getting by, by, by?
Anyway, I know that this song about love lost is NOT about miscarriage...but in that moment it hit me especially hard and I thought of you lovely ladies! You've gotta get up and try...despite the doubts and sorrows that crop up along the way.

@FliegepilzHut: Thanks for sharing! I never thought about the song in that way but I totally see it now. Especially the "just because it burns doesn't mean you are gonna die."
How have you been doing? I feel like I am totally behind on where you are in the process. Wishing you all the best, sweet lady!

@HappyBluebird: You are so so close! I totally understand wanting to get the "show on the road." I hope you had a wonderful birthday! Can't believe I am 30 today. 30. It's good in a way... think I am ready for a new decade. Hope your 30s are absolutely blessed!

@FliegepilzHut: @jaguar: simplyfelicity: thanks ladies, I needed the pick me up! Today is a new day and I'm feeling much better
@simplyfelicity: Happy Birthday!! I agree, 30 is going to be a great decade for both of us! Hope you have a great day!

@simplyfelicity: Happy 30th! I hope this is a truly wonderful year for you! I'm doing alright, just trying to finish "processing" (or whatever) over the next month, so that I'll be feeling good and brave when my time comes. Assuming my lining check on 11/21 is okay, I'll have a FET in exactly one month and one day! Thanks for checking in! Wishing you so much and sticky baby dust!

@HappyBluebird: @FliegepilzHut: Thank you for the birthday wishes! I just went to breakfast with my parents and DH and, tonight, we are going to have a wine and dessert gathering at my house. Unfortunately, DH didn't invite people until the last minute, so there will only be a few people. We are going to get some of that alcohol free wine and he is going to have to insist on being the one to fill my glass. Next weekend, he is taking me somewhere for a surprise. Last year, my birthday was two weeks before my wedding, so I don't even remember if I did anything!
@FliegepilzHut: This so exciting! I can't wait to "stalk" your updates. To be completely and utterly honest, I am not taking this pregnancy that well and so I think there is a lot of merit to giving yourself some extra time to process. It's hard for me to not relive everything that has happened in the last 7 months. I knew I would be timid and guarded but I was almost put off when I found out. I know that sounds ridiculous, but I was. My sis had two losses in a row and then got pregnant with my nephew a month later said she felt the same way. I really had no idea I would feel this way. My heart is starting to soften a bit but I am a once bitten, a million times shy kind of person. Geez...this is a ramble but I just want to say you are incredibly smart to give yourself the time you know you need. I will be very excited to cheer you on when the time comes.

@simplyfelicity: Happy, happy birthday!
@FliegepilzHut: I am hanging out for your FET. You have no idea.
@HappyBluebird: I'm glad you're feeling better today.
I am a nervous bloody wreck, that is all.

@HappyBluebird: so glad you're feeling better today
@FliegepilzHut: it's seems like this thread has had a lot of good luck I it, so I hope you keep us updated! And thanks for sharing the lyrics.
@simplyfelicity: happy birthday!
@jaguar: I hope once the news sinks in you'll be able to relax a bit.
Afm, I finally got a negative OPK today. Never thought I'd be waiting for that to happen! So hopefully I can see a temp rise soon and start the progesterone. I'm on cd18 and usually o on 14, so this cycle has been totally bizarre! I'm wondering if I should even bother with the progesterone at this point (though I fear if I don't, next month will be even wonkier).
pomegranate / 3533 posts
@simplyfelicity: @jaguar: @MaryM: Thank you all so much! I really hope that this will be "the one"! I promise I will keep you updated.
pomegranate / 3533 posts
@MaryM: That's a really tough call. I don't think the progesterone should affect next month's cycle much one way or the other...it will just lengthen this cycle's luteal phase.
@simplyfelicity: I'm pretty sure "smart" doesn't have anything to do with it. We picked this timing months ago, feeling pretty sure we'd be on the other end of our testing, AND that it would work with DH's school schedule. However, I'm just trying really hard (and happy that I have a little more time) to get my head straight. I know it's tough...we're all always here for you! I really, truly hope that this will be your sticky LO!!!
@jaguar: to you!!!

Thank you for the birthday wishes, guys! I am so excited because my husband is taking me to go swim with dolphins next weekend! AHHHHHHHH! This is a LIFELONG dream of mine!
How is everyone's weekend going? I am just chilling and trying with all my might to not eat all the leftover desserts from our wine and dessert gathering last night.

@simplyfelicity: That sounds amazing! I wish I could help you finish up the leftover dessert!

@FliegepilzHut: Me too! We went to this bakery nearby and just picked everything that looked good. The tiramisu...wow. To be honest, I drank about 1/4 glass of wine. It's not something I will be doing regularly but DH was cool with it and I have read about a lot of Bees who said their OB was fine with the occasional small drink.
pomegranate / 3533 posts
@simplyfelicity: Sounds so good! Don't sweat 1/4 glass of wine (although I'm there with you-- I probably wouldn't do it often)! I am so ready for us all to be pregnant and NOT nervous!!!

@FliegepilzHut: Me, too! November is going to be such an exciting month for you. I can't wait til we have ALL of us over at the Pregnancy After Loss. It'll be so great to go through this next phase together.

I feel like we're headed towards another loss, peeps. hcg was low today at 60 for 14dpo. Just spent my entire day freaking out. We got back in at 16dpo... if it's not over 100, it'll be almost a write off.

@simplyfelicity: Thats a great present!!
@jaguar: I'm going to continue to keep my fingers crossed and keep you in my thoughts! Hopefully its just early

@simplyfelicity: What a fun present!!
@jaguar: My fingers are SO crossed for you! Doubling is more important than the actual number, right? I hope it'll be over 100 when you get it back!
AFM, I FINALLY got crosshairs! WOO! With DH or I being sick most of the month, we only hit O-1 (but it only takes one swimmer, right?). So I'm not overly optimistic for this cycle, but will start the progesterone tonight just in case.

@jaguar: just popping in to say that at 14dpo with DD my beta was 41. She's perfectly healthy. All of my fingers and toes are crossed for you.
