As I've mentioned before we have several guns in our home, some of which currently reside on our night stands for quick, easy access. We know once our baby is here that will end and I'm wanting to buy my husband a biometric safe so in the case of an emergency we don't have to fumble with a key/combo. Does anybody have any type of experience with this kind of safe or have a recommendation on brand?

The hubby (looking over my shoulder) says Sentry and Microvault, and Biobox brands come recommended. Biovault 2.0 gets good reviews.

And he says not to get a GunVault brand, because they are known to have mechanical failures and not open, which is a bad thing in the case of a gun box!

Thanks for the suggestions ladies (and gentleman!). I ended up mentioning my gift idea to my husband because I know he can find a better deal. He scours gun sites and can pounce when he sees one come available. Definitely mentioning the specific brands you all suggested though.
