Is this safe to wear in a car seat?
I want to add to my old navy order for free shipping. I'm thinking ahead to winter. I'm in Canada and winter can get instanely cold.

It should be. It doesn't look very thick (although it looks like it will be very cozy and warm!) Certainly something I would let my kiddos wear in their car seats.

Look safe; I have all winter babies and I used something similar from either like Northface or Patagonia (second hand) that's even thinner. I think the ones to watch out for are puffy jackets.

Generally fleece is a safe option in car seats but it will ultimately depend on how it fits your LO. We had trouble with suits like this because DD was tall and thin - so sizing up to fit her length made a lot of bulk width wise. This talks about how to test if a coat is okay:

Yeah, it's not too bulky. My kids are always in bulky coats in the carseat. I'm in northern NY. I strap extra tight. Bad mom.

@catgirl: I may have the same issue. At his 4 months appt he was at 11lbs 9 oz and is 65 cm. They dont mention percentiles at his appts but from my googling I think he is on the taller side?
Maybe I will buy one and see how it fits when the time comes.
Last winter we had some days where it was -50 degrees celcius so winter is going to be interesting. We will avoid going out on those kinds of days obviously but the average is usually at least -25.

I’d use something like that. It actually reminds me that I need to get something for baby for winter since it will be here any day!!
