Love my KIA Sorento!

We have a Honda CRV with two large Britax car seats. I'd prefer a bigger car next time... we're considering he Pilot.

We have an Acura RDX and love it. Only complaint is that our version doesn't have back vents, but they corrected that post 2014 models. According to google it allows for 3 seats across.

@Mrs.Pinecone316: I didn't realize that you were expecting your second, too. Congratulations! I can't believe our babies are almost two!

We have a Hyundai Santa Fe with a Clek Fllo installed in the middle seat. We've checked that we can install the infant seat behind the passenger seat for when DS2 arrives in May. Also, Car Seats for the Littles states that the Santa Fe fits 3 across for both Cleks and Dionos. We can comfortably seat two adults with the car seat now, so I believe it. We'll see if we ever need to test 3 across though. Keeping options open!

@LBee: we have the Acura MDX and it fits our three seats (RF, FF, and infant bucket) in any configuration. I love it!

@Mrs.Pinecone316: with two seats, there is decent room for a smallish adult in the second row, but the optional third row becomes hard to access (you might have to go through the trunk); also there is hardly any trunk space if you use the third row (i.e. no room for a stroller). I'm considering upgrading size-wise to a Honda Pilot, or something really big like a GMC Arcadia or a Suburban. We have three kids, and use two Maxi Cosi Priya's (huge) and a Maxi Cosi Mico

We have a Highlander. It has a weird middle seat in the 2nd row, so it's maybe not the best for 3 across, but I frequently sit between the kids on long car trips. Overall we really like our SUV, but if we were for sure having 3, I might consider something that has a better middle seat.

The 3rd row is small, but we have used it several times in a pinch when we pick up people from the airport or are carpooling somewhere.

We have an Acura MDX and no complaints.

My suggestion is tell your husband he's crazy. We have a 2016 Pilot and we love it. You can do 3 car seats across, and we've fit 8 adults in there for a night out. Every single one of my best friends drives a Pilot so when we had our second kid I wanted to check them out. My husband was adamant that we are not buying the same car that all of our friends drive. I finally convinced him that perhaps there is a REASON all of our friends with two kids drive Pilots. Luckily the 2016 model is completely redesigned so mine doesn't look like my friends and that's what finally convinced him to get on board

@Astro Bee: I LOVE the Santa Fe! We are looking to purchase one when we are able, probably next year when we can put a good down payment on one. They are huge but still feel easy to drive and I love that I could squeeze an adult in the back with two kids.

Once my first is in kinder we will probably get a van.

We love our Ford Flex. The second row has optional captains chairs and third row seating.

Subaru Outback. Currently LO1 is resurfacing in a convertible in the middle. When LO2. Ones there will be room for her infant seat. Who don't the driver, still leaving room for a passenger behind the front passenger. It can go 3 across although probably not with every seat combo. We use a Diono Radian (bought for many reasons, but one because it is narrow) and a Britax infant seat.

@mrskansas: My parents have an Expedition, and LOVE it! We borrow it from time to time, and the extra space is amazing! If I could afford one, I would buy one in a heart beat!

2016 honda pilot!! the new version has a lot of great improvements. the 3rd row is really roomy (for a 3rd row..), vents for the 2nd and 3rd row, sleeker design. you guys should def test drive it at least before ruling it out!

We have the Subaru Forester and I like it b/c it's not too big but it's big enough. Only com ain't is when we have the stroller in the back there's not a ton of room for other stuff but we make it work. Going to start using an umbrella stroller now and that will free up a ton of space.

I have an Outback and LOVE. Cannot say enough good things about it. HOwever, I am expecting a 3rd and even with 3 carseats in the back it would be like driving a clown car.

We have a VW Golf Wagon and I love it. Fits two car seats with room for me to squeeze in the middle if necessary (although not super comfortable), and has a tonne of trunk space as well.

@erinbaderin: I have a VW Passat Wagon, and I'm thoroughly converted to loving VW for life. Love the boot space!

I used to drive and love love a 2012 Highlander. Love love loved it. But when I got pregnant with my second, we installed an infant car seat along with FF convertible car seat and it was too small. There was no middle seat latch so we had to install the car seats at the ends which was nbd itself but we quicky realized no adult or even an older child like a 5th grader could ever sit in the middle seat. There was no room. We also had a third row but with both car seats, you couldn't access it bc you had to fold a seat to get to the back. Right before I was due, My brother came through town for a business trip and we picked him up for dinner. He had to go through the trunk bc we had already installed the car seats.

My husband dragged me to car dealerships a week postpartum and made me get a minivan. (Toyota Sienna). I resisted and cried a little bc I loved the Highlander but after I started driving the minivan I haven't looked back

FYI. I have a mom friend with 4 year old triplets and her husband drives the Pilot with three car seats.

@Mrs.Pinecone316: I'm not a huge help because we only have one LO and our crossover feels too small but just wanted to say if you are looking at Ford's try to avoid the trim levels that come with inflatable seat belts. Only a few car seats are compatible with them.
