I'm pushing DH to pull the trigger on some good deals on City Select with second seat. Which color would you get? I can get either with the second seat for under $390 if I open an Amazon credit card.
So the question is red or black?

I think at least 75% of the City Selects that I see are red. So for that reason I'd go black, just to make it slightly easier to spot.

@ShootingStar: This is my answer exactly! I also voted red but own the teal and think it's so pretty.

@erinbaderin: @ShootingStar: The teal is pretty but it's about $70 more and there is no way DH will spring for it.

@T.H.O.U.: @Foodnerd81: @catomd00: Like @Truth Bombs: I worry black would get so hot. And dirty.

I really like red things, but my neighbor has it in black and it looks so nice and sleek, so I'd probably choose the black.

@ladybee: my light green stroller is so filthy. I actually feel like the black would show less dirt. But I don't know about it getting hot. I think both are good solid choices! And can't blame you for sticking with the cheapest colors- that's how I ended up with my light green vista (previous year's color).

I like the red. And wow that's an amazing deal, I wish I could get it for that low in the UK. I am looking at that sort of price for a second hand one!

We have a black double stroller and it doesn't get hot at all. I vote black because I think it holds up and looks better long term.

Definitely black. I much prefer the black frame to the silver frame!

Black. I have a black stroller and even through an Atlanta summer, it wasn't hot at all.

I wish the black with black frame was around when we got ours. That has my vote!

@Ash: We have such similar taste! Black with black frame? Does it get scratched at all?

Everyone gets black, it's a classic colour.
But will you be doing any mom groups, baby get togethers, like at the library? If so, I recommend the red. Easier to see and grab yours for a quick getaway in a sea of black!

Black!
I feel like the red colour would fade and look more aged than the black. And if you plan on reselling it black is always popular.

@ladybee: If you haven't bought yet there is a deal better than Amazon at PishPoshBaby.com. You can stack the 20% off Black Friday coupon on their front page onto the free seat deal. We're getting ours now!
EDIT: It was JUST working when I tested it, but now it's not :'(

One more thing! We have the black Citi Mini right now and while I love the black (and will probably get the Select in black, too) DD's sunblock rubbed off onto it fairly easily and I've had a hard time getting it to come out.

@ladybee: we have a black on black uppababy vista and it doesn't scratch easily. There are a few scratches on the frame but I've had it for 2 1/2 years and use it pretty much everyday.

We have a black on black one and I love it. It looks awesome. There are a couple of random scratches on it but silver will scratch too! Just the cost of using a stroller!

@fussygal: my in laws are getting it for us. I'm going to try it today, that's an awesome deal! Im going to go with black and silver frame from them. We have a green b-agile and sunscreen did the same to it.

@fussygal: Just tried it. It won't work but $439 isn't bad either for a newer model. I'm going to ask a service rep and see if I can still get the deal.

I have a red b agile, and just got a black macclaren... Go black! Hoping it shows less juice spills than the red!

@ladybee: Let me know if it works. I was going to try and call later today, too!

@fussygal: I just went and looked at the black with silver frame. The fabric was matte and didn't seem easy to clean. The silver was shiny and seemed like it would wipe down easily.

@ladybee: I haven't had an issue with cleaning it at all!!! Really we've only gotten crumbs on it though...haven't had any liquid messes at all...yet..
