I admit, friends, I'm at a loss. I know what to get DS for Christmas but I keep coming up short for DD! I rationalize it because I know that whatever I get DS, I know eventually DD will want to play with it but she's just starting to show her own different desires. Most tend to be... dare I say it... pink and girly. When she isn't trying to steal her brother's puppy dog, cars, or trains she wants her babydoll in her baby stroller. She wants to dress up dolls and herself. She absolutely loves Daniel Tiger and Curious George but we have tons of each. What we're missing is tactile things for her to play with. She already has a play kitchen. Now I think she'd like more dolls to dress. Any suggestions? Even if they aren't dolls? Help!

E has a set of crowns from Melissa and Doug that she likes. I also got her stickers, a jelly beads necklace for toddlers...."pretty" stuff i know she'll like.

@regberadaisy: She loves having her nails painted and her hair put up. She wants all things pink and loves putting on Princess dresses. She loves bracelets and necklaces, sparkly things. She adores it. I just don't know where to begin! The pink aisles give me the heebie gebbies every time I get near them at the store.
Edited: She also loves dresses. Every time she puts a dress on she says she has a tutu on. That she's a ballerina and then she pirouettes.

DD really likes those wooden magnetic dress-up dolls. I know Melissa & Doug makes princess, mermaid and ballerina sets, among others. My sister gifted DD with a My Little Pony set and it's super glittery. It's my least favorite of the ones she has (ha!), but LO loves it.

I bought DD some glitter glide rMagic clip dolls with the castle, a Melissa & Doug magnetic dress up doll, a "hair cutting" play-doh set and some accessories for her kitchen.
My sisters got her a wheely bug for her birth day and it's her favourite toy EVER

We've tried magnetic dress-up dolls in the past and she plays with them once or twice and then they're not touched. She does have a tea set and she serves me coffee often. Consistently she loves her dolls, her play kitchen, and making necklaces. Since I'm buying for us and an elderly family member, I've settled on a play doctor kit from B. and pop-together beads from the same company so that she can keep creating her necklaces for us. I'm also looking into more dress-up clothes for her doll. Thank you so much for your suggestions and feel free to keep adding to them!

My big girl (3) was given a Minnie Mouse camera for her birthday and she LOVES it! my other thought is what about a carrier for LO 's dolls? I'm pretty sure Ergo and a few other brands make carriers for little people

What about blankets for her baby dolls? Or a doll crib/cradle? Dress-up clothes seem to be a big hit in the 2-4 year old age group too.

Does she have a doll house? We got LO the Fisher Price Little People Happy Sounds Home which is like a mini doll house but there are also ones by Hape, IKEA, etc.

The toys that get played with everyday here (and just FYI, we are not opposed to characters / plastic, lol so many may disagree with my choices)-
- doll houses (we have Disney princess ones, peppa pig house, Sofia castle, Sofia royal academy, and they all get played wit constantly)
- princess dolls (magiclip and the Barbie doll sized ones and the bigger ones)
- princess dress up clothes and accessories like purses, shoes
- play doh and any/all play doh accessories
